How many races will Brawn win this year?

I think they win 6

 

I personally don't think that Brawn GP has the resources to develop the car the same way Ferrari/Mclaren can. They'll do well this year, no doubt about it, but as the season progresses they'll slip back the grip and settle in where BMW was last year, IMHO.

I'll say three....

 

It's hard to say because we don't know what's going to happen before China, when the whole diffuser issue is re-addressed. If things go their way, I'll say Brawn will win 6 or more races, if they get shot in the foot, then I'd say probably no more than 4 total. I think the other teams will close the gap somewhat, and later in the year Ferrari and Mclaren will come back somewhat.

P.S Anyone want to make a wager on how many races ol' Massa will win this year?

I think they'll pull 5 wins. williams and red bull are hot on their heels, and once ferrari and mclaren copy the diffuser idea they'll be strong.

 

they'll do fine until the "European" season. then the big-budget guys will catch up.

regardless of the economy and budget, you can bet there's lots of midnight oil being burned in Woking and Maranello.

There biggest problem will be having a budget and resources to continue to develop the car. But, they are lucky to be so far out front on the first three "fly away" races. They should take all three and have a good head start.

The real question is: is it ONLY the defuser? I don't think so. There's more going on here. It's not that simple. Also, Red Bull has something going on that's above the pack also. They could really surprise everyone this season and screw up the plans of the big boys.

I like the boys in red but I don't think if they win it should be easy. If they work hard and win, that's best. At least two teams are making them work REAL hard this year. If someone else beats Ferrari, I still applaud the champion because they beat the best.

I dont think they can because the others will catch up. But i do think that if Brawn wins the WC, that will be up to the FIA to help pave the way

Exactly,so many people think it's just their diffuser that's giving them their performance advantage but it's more than just that. Rubens stayed out on the track, having sustained front wing and rear diffuser damage, for I don't know how many laps. Rubens stayed out there for a while before coming in to the pit to replace the front wing. The rear diffuser was still damaged and not repaired, yet he managed to stay out in the front, and eventually come in 2nd, thanks to Vettel/Kubica.

The car is very well balanced and doesn't have KERS reliability/risk issues.

2 drivers who can deliver wins.

Plus Brawn is the best race strategist of the entire pitlane.

I'm happy to see Brawn GP has a lot of sponsors knocking on their doors. The cash flow beyond Sir Richard's contribution will help them develop the car, and with the restrictions on testing and wind tunnel usage this year, even if the other teams decide to copy the Brawn GP diffuser, they would have to redesign most of their cars' aerodynamic features to make good on it but they won't have the testing or wind tunnel resources available to actually do it all, hence I see Brawn staying at or near the top for most of the season just for that reason.

 

I dunno why but $10,000 sounds like a decent number....
