I do not like the fotos of the car supposed to be the new 450, it looks lite something Retro, back to the 360 considerations,
I think that the real new appearance will be not as supposed; many of you forget the work done by many students of the
Turin IED for future Ferrari designs, take a look at the proposals that were approved in the web by Ferrari fans and owners,
and then look at the fotos; take your own conclusions.

    me likey! thats pretty bold.

I cannot agree that it looks like the Evora. The 450 prototype (assuming thats what it was) looks really good, the evora looks confused IMO

It does seem a bit retro, considering that the 360 is extremely rounded, while the 430 has some sharper angles (as a consequence, I prefer the design of the 430.)

I think that this will be a fine looking car, assuming that it does look like this when it's actually released, but still not on par with the 308, whose beauty exceeds everything that has come after it to date.

Not sure how close the last page is to reality, but it looks a little to close to an Audi R8 from that shot..

if it is going to look like the artist's rendition, then Ferrari's newest car is revolting.

and i like the 360/430 style ALOT.

I think if you take the front end from the C&D article and combine it with the Autoexpress rendering from the windshield back, you have what the new car will probably look like.

The C&D rendering is obviously wrong about the rear air intakes, given the latest spy pictures.

Frankly, I thought Gallardo was quite ugly, but the new LP560 is beautiful!

Although it's true, but I promised myself never to buy a Lambo.

Automotive styling has evolved tremendously in the past 40 or so years... so yes, it would be shot down. Not to mention the sub-par handling for 2009 ;)

But seriously, the Lusso's curves still make sense. They flow!!! The only thing outdated are the cat throws & ground clearance. The curves on this new concept do not flow... they seem to violate everything an artist knows about proportion (unless we're talking Picasso).

That's kind of dumb. I don't think you could have predicted what the Murci or the Gallardo would have looked like back in 2002 or 2004, respectively.

The LP640 and LP560 are just facelifts, of course they will look similar.
    It's like a 360 -> F430, or 550 -> 575M. We "saw" those coming.

The Murci is nothing but a face lifted version of the Diablo which was nothing but a face lifted version of the Countach.

The 599 looks nothing like the 550 or 575. Neither of those cars look like any version of the Testarossa. The F50 doesn't look anything like the Enzo. The 355 looks nothing like the 360. Ferrari while not perfect & they don't always hit a home run, they create fresh design with their cars.

    Hi,

I bought a F430 Spider last year from my dealer here in Surrey, England (March 2008 delivery). I put my name down in January 2008 for the next one. Well got a call today from my dealer and he has told me that they have had news that the F450 (he used that name) is going to be brought forward and they will asking for non-refundable £25k deposits. I asked when they will ask me for this deposit and he said probably around June. I asked about the car and he said all he knows is that the car will be closer to the £180-200k mark. I've decided to go see him in person on Tuesday (they've got a few Scuds that I fancy a little ride in too!) and try and find out more.

Car & Driver's senior citizen writers can't get their facts straight, much less an illustration (I swear, I can almost hear "get off my lawn!" every time I open that rag). Besides, print mags' lead time makes their "brand new" illustration long outdated by the time it hits the stands.

Sad as it is, the death knell of print magazines can really be seen first-hand in the forum and blog coverage of this car's development. Ferraris get a lot of interest so waiting for magazines' take isn't exactly the way to keep up to date. Anyone reading print for info about this car will be easily a month behind. Even the long embargo times set up for magazine leads are being shortened up my major manufacturers to suit the automotive blogs' quick turn-around.
