I've read before and heard from other people the 'no one' uses the mouse sholder belt passive restraint on the 348's. Although mine does occasionally get hung up, mostly due to carelessness on my part, it always comes back and functions properly. My questions are:

Do fellow memebers shut it off because it's irratating or doesn't work?
Whats involved in shutting it off, a simple fuse or connection?
Does this feature working or not working impact the value of the car?

I deactivated mine. Worked fine, I pulled the connectors off the drive motors behind the seat next to the eng ecu's and removed the bulbs in the dash. Kept the connectors under the seat connected. Before disconnecting the mouse motors let them drive home next to the seat.

Annoying as sh%t. I'm smart enough to buckle myself in, and don't need a poorly designed/crappy built mouse to remind me.

    Kill the mouse.

I find this ironically funny coming from a guy who sells all the NOS parts to make sure the little critters run like clockwork... ;)

For me, the score is one live mouse and one DOA with 0 chance of resuscitation. :D

The passenger one in my 348 does not work. I bought the car in October 2008, and before I bought it the Ferrari Dealership in Portland fixed it, only to have it die again about 1 week after I received the car. I checked on the cost to repair/replace, and it is $5400-$6700, a price I refuse to pay since there is an alternative seat belt (in Canada we don't need the restraint system anyway). The passenger seatbelt light will not turn off, I am unsure how to remove the bulb for this (is it a matter of taking apart the dash) - any help here is appreciated.

    regards

Mine didn't work properly when I got the car, and I wouldn't want them to work anyway. I unplugged the modules behind the center console. I have no problem remembering to "belt up".
