Well here is another quick update on the situation for anyone interested. I had filed a complaint to the Department of Insurance to see if they could help me out. I recieved a letter stating that since the inclusion states that if I gave the car away under a presumed sales agreement that there is nothing they can do.

I spoke with the actual guy who sold me the insurance and he said really my only hope is that if they possibly locate the car I may be able to get it claimed if it's in bad condition or totalled.

I have come to realize that I don't really have much of a chance in court against the inclusion that magically appeared into my policy. I am hesitant to try to get a lawyer and spend the money when he doesn't have a chance.

So I got 2 options. Cross my finger and see if my Infiniti magically shows up or file bankruptcy. Any ideas?

It might be worth it to track down the notary. If he (or she) happened to make a photocopy of the id document used by your fake buyer, it might lead to an address or phone number the police can use to track him down.

The notary is required to verify the id of the person signing the document in their presence. Many notaries go ahead and keep a photocopy of the id, or write down the info on it in their records.

Been saying that for months now. The car is long gone and very, very unlikely to turn up anywhere now. The notary is about the only piece of the puzzle left to work with and should be getting a lot of attention.

He said earlier that the notary was fake, but that the person did exist, did the police get anywhere with that?

It is my understanding that things have taken a turn. However, it's probably a good idea to not say anything more specific here until things play out fully.

(Hope you don't mind me butting in, Matt ;))

I know... just more amused with the sudden secrecy... can't imagine why unless it's a negotiation with State Farm...

Well I apolgize to everyone here for holding out for so long and leaving you all hanging. I'm sorry to say that the car has yet to be recovered and the good news I was hoping for never really resulted in anything positive really. I would post the whole story here but as I said earlier it may have a effect on the way this turns out. If you want to know the latest just PM me and I will let you know. The guy that did all this found my car through the internet and posting anything here may give him information I don't want him to have. Thanks again for all the support guys.

OK GUYS! CALLING ALL FERRARICHAT DETECTIVES! I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET!

http://www.abc3340.com/news/stories/0509/620542.html?ref=rs Please watch the video on the side as well (it has there pictures)

This is the guy that stole my car. His name is Akhnamn Ramesra (also goes by Lucius Russ). His wife is named Tasheba Ramesra. Together they have been running this scam! Her name is on the notary. Does anyone know how to freeze the video and get there pictures? I am going to talk to my detective and see if I can get a copy. If I can find this guy I may be able to find my car. Thanks in advance guys! Pray we catch this guy before he does this to someone else!

Any information you may have please contact Birmingham police. My detectives name is Officer Finley 205-254-1717

To get the image, could you pause the video when the faces are shown and take a screen capture. Then you could crop out what you don't need and use the image as you see fit. I'd do it, but have yet to figure that function out on my Mac.

I do hope that you are able to get some positive news out of this, I was thinking of this thread the other day and wondering whether you had made any breaks in the case. I'm not sure I can do much to help, but I can wish you good luck in this ongoing process, hopefully you are able to recover something.

I am going to try to get a better copy from my detective on Monday so I can blast it around on the internet. Hopefully this will spread like a virus and the guy will realize he can't hide forever. It will be a cold day in hell before I let this slide and I hope this will speed up the process. It was played on Birmingham news so maybe it might get us some clues.

Funny thing that will definitly blow everyones mind is how we found them. Guess whose name is the notary. His own wife! It says it plain as day on it....Tasheba Ramesra. He steals a car and drops his wifes name on the freaking bill of sale! It took me a while to get that the police to put that out but hopefully it will help. Thanks guys.
