What is a good price for a 99 EURO Rossa 360 with around 15-20k miles and regular service records? I have seen US versions going on ebay for 58-65k, are the euros worth more/less?

Whilst you may see cheap 360's on ebay, try getting a good one for $56K to $65K. The market has tanked but good cars still attract reasonable prices.

In my mind, Euro/US is now irrelevant since the cars have all come off factory warranty.

Values now come down to the individual pedigree of each car...

Wow, could you link up one for 56K. Sounds too cheap and I would be concerned about the history. I know they have dropped but that seems insane. Good for me of course cause I am in the market :)

From my 6 months or so of 360 research, the price seems to be dictated by the pedigree of the car...ownership history, records, mileage, etc. I can't speak to the Euro spec. issue. I my opinion, a '99, 15-20K, red/tan, ALL records, say (2) owner, excellent condition should run you about $80K - $90K. For me, anything less than $80K would require VERY close scrutiny. Personally, most cars that have had more than (2) owners, start to turn me off...additionally, any car that has ever been a lease car is out.

No 360 will sell $65k unless salvage or in need or extreme repair. You are looking at bids not sales.

    Just does not make sense.

    Two examples currently on ebay.

First is salvage, Buy it Now is $70k.

Second is good car, Buy it Now is $95k (plus this car has 33K miles)

No well sorted 360 is going to publically sell for under $70k.

Okay, because two sellers decide to buy it now their car at an unreasonable price to minimize their losses, does not mean you can use it to determine real world selling values. The RUF car was a pretty solid car from what I know and fact of the matter is that nobody put their money where their mouth was which is the big issue. So many people say "show me a well sorted 360 for less than $70k and I'l buy today" and you go out of your way or someone pops up offering to sell theirs and "it's the wrong color" "sorry no daytona seats and shields, I thought it was pretty obvious any 360 should have these", "the maintenance records are from non authorized f car dealer". Lets wake up to the reality of the prices here. Anyone who has had to SELL a 360 in the last few months will clearly tell you that a 99 car regardless of how clean it is not going to sell for anywhere near $95.

Regardless of econimic climate you are going to have tire kickers and dreamers. And I am sure it is possible to run across a poor soul that needs cash right away and has no leverage to negociate. That said, this thread started with a caption "1999 prices", not "one off sale", to which I would not have spent time replying. You cannot make a general statment that 360's are going for a particualr price range because one car sold for that.

We had a tick up in new home sales in the US for the month of February, does that mean the economy is improving?

I'm not, I merely brought that car up as everyone on here is familiar with it.

    99 360

    01/15/09 RIVRSIDE Regular $60,750 23,252 Below BLUE 8G A Yes
    03/11/09 W PALM Regular $60,500 23,531 Below YELLOW 8G A Yes

    00

    03/04/09 DALLAS Regular $73,500 28,485 Above YELLOW 8G A Yes
    03/10/09 W PALM Regular $65,000 17,956 Below RED 8G A Yes

    03 360

    03/24/09 FAAO Regular $78,000 15,836 Below SILVER 8G A No

    04 360

    01/29/09 RIVRSIDE Lease $77,250 12,972 Avg BLACK 8G P No

Now go around and search eBay a little closer and you will see of the 93 360's that are currently for sale, you can get 01-03 cars with LOW mileage, freshly serviced, and for sale by reputable sources for WAY less than $90k, what makes you think a 99 with 33k miles is worth $95k when I can get an 01 on eBay with recent service for $80k from an AUTHORIZED F dealer.

I'm in the used car business and I see these cars exchange hands on a regular basis and listed on eBay for a very small profit and sometimes even a loss. I personally know of about 30 cars that have exchanged hands in 09 alone and I have been offered 3 clean cars for under $70k and one that was in need of service for $58k.

So my statement is not off one car, I don't claim to be a market expert, but I am around the market experts who flip these cars for a living enough to know that you're out of your mind if you think a 99 360 with 33k miles is worth $95k.

I bought two 360's in 2008. Both from dealers. I ceratinly paid more, but felt good about getting cars that have established service records.

In addition, to date, I have bought seven cars on ebay, including two from a place in Dallas named Straightline, who essentially, as you mention, flips cars for a small profit. Every car I purchased on ebay, with one exception, was under factory warranty so repairs were incidental. However, a 360, not being under factory warranty, can rack up $15k in repairs very easily. So the $70k car is really a $80k+ car.

I've been looking a while as well. For comparison, 02 car sold below 85k (asking 120k a few months ago) by "the bimmer store", which is an authorized Lambo dealership. Another 03 car sold for around 85k as well. It's been listed on ebay for months just above 90k. They are both titanium/red, and both are good cars with clean history, keys, etc. You'll probably see a 99 euro car asking 80-85k, but it just won't sell. Imho, 70k seems more reasonable for what you are looking for. Prices will likely soften more in a few months.

Wow, so 2000's are selling between $65K and $75K (roughly). I've been watching a 2000 360 at http://www.encoreautos.com/ for the past four months. It's dropped from $100k to the current $80k, perhaps I should offer less? The carfax for this 360 shows multiple owners (five to be exact). What advice would you give me before purchasing? I'm planning on getting a PPI and would need to sell/trade my NSX. I was a bit soured by the number of owners but started to think "what is there to worry about? abuse?".

RossoCorsaItaly, where did you get those numbers? Simply from new members?

Also what do you think will happen to 360/F430 prices once the F450 is announced?

Thanks all, I'm really looking forward to owning!

This car has been listed on Ebay at least twice before, and supposedly sold for 60K the last go 'round. And now its listed again? Makes you wonder...

if true i can only say that 360 prices have suffered catastrophic loss in just a few months..

I bought my car less than a year ago front an authorized ferrari dealership, 6k miles, all options, all history, 2000 360 for 120k+

what some people here seem to be saying is that prices have tanked over 40% since then it seems.. which is shocking and to be honest a bit suprising.. as the 355 and all older models have barely moved.

i wonder how long the 360 value will tank for before it comes back up? or at least stabilizes.. the 355 is attaining even more value than a 360 now it seems

Salvage title on this car, says so in the listing. If you could get it for 60k and you plan on driving it hard with no anticipation of recovering much money, it is probably a fair deal.

I'm not posting Manheim numbers as the retail market, add $10,000 (way more profit then these dealers really make) to each CAR and it's still WAY below what many here think is the true market value. I know of retail deals done for similar amounts, I just simply have no tangible proof like I do with Manheim numbers that anyone on here can verify.

Prices have tanked BIG time since 08? Even prices in October of 08 for 360's are generally at least 15% higher than numbers today. I paid $50,000 for an 03 911 turbo in July of 08, right now I would not pay $35k for that same car. The high-end pre-owned market is falling VERY fast. You have to remember in 2008, people were still in line blowing their dealers to get on the list for a 430 and it was rare to see a used 430 under $200k, last year this time. Now we are seeing 430's as low as $115-120k. So comparing 2008 prices to today, is not really accurate. I paid $88,000 for my 99 355 end of 07 and would price it at $45k today if I was looking to sell.

I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest with anyone, I respect you and your past buying history, I'm just telling you that the deals are out there and prevent you or other members on here from overpaying on their next Ferrari. I understand this will upset some members on here as realizing their car is worth half what they paid is not good news and they will deny and dispute the facts.

Argue with this guy if it makes you feel better, but having just sold my '02 360 that I owned for 2 years I can confirm that from my experience, he's got his facts pretty well straight. Difficult to acknowledge, but the world is a different place now. Unfortunately with so many buyers being taken out of the market (bull market buyers, like me), these cars are really just used cars. If you disagree, try selling yours and report back.

It truly is a different world.. 1 year ago when I was shopping my car.. I could not get people to sell me a 2000+ 360 at 30k or belows miles for under 100k no matter what I tried.. any car below 100k was a bad example of a car..

funny this.. I came very close to this 2001 black modena with 12k miles.. they wanted 135k for it.. I offered 115k they came back at 128k then I think went as low as 124k or something.. I told them at 120k I would likley take the car.. they refused to do the deal at 120k.. they wanted that 4k extra..

that same car is listed for sale now in the 90's..

this is a catastrophic drop in value for the 360.. from 130k-90k in a year? has any year previously seen this sort of hit in such a short timespan? I would imagine the 360 would lose 10% a year but this is over 30% in UNDER a year of drop..

on the other hand.. I think this 30% hit is nailing most exotics.. Gallardo's that were 120k are now 90k within a year.. RR Phantoms can be had as lowa as 120k now as well.. bentley continentals, DB9, all can be had below 80k..

I think had the economy not tanked the 360's would probably suffer a 15% loss at most.. but this is ridiculous..

I suppose the good news is.. that the lower price exists because many are not buying exotics in this climate.. I still feel that once the economic situation improves so will the value (to some degree) of the high end exotics.
