Yeah, I get stuff like that too. I even have some guy that I added (not sure when or why though) and he writes in Farsi (I think). WTF? How did he even add me? I've started denying their requests unless I can look and see we have other people in common or they send a message or there might be some reason they added me. But I've also noticed a lot of MLM crap where people are trying to do all these little money making/marketing things and if I see one hint of that I deny the person. If you deny someone can they tell or they just think you never responded?
Well they aren't contacted or told that you specifically ignored them...but there is basically three choices they have here : 1) They ignored me , 2) They have not signed on, 3) Didn't respond . Anyways,..I still try to figure out how they even found me. I have privacy stuff on too. Maybe through groups...but I don't expect these men to be part of the Chanel group but who knows. Whatever. I don't mean to be rude, but it's weird getting requests for no apparent reason...maybe if they had sent me a message first or something. Either way I have to be extra careful since I'm a young girl you know.
yeah, I know what you mean. Most people I can see how they find me if there isn't even a message. I mean I am on a couple car forums and groups and if I look in their profile and see a similar interset, yeah, makes sense. Or if I see we have friends in common. But if some guy in another country finds me out of the blue and just adds me it's like okay, who are you? I used to have a Yahoo messenger thing and for some reason I kept getting all these Europeon guys wanting to know if I had a webcam and showing me their junk! I'm like wtf, where are these people coming from!!! I don't know if it's because I had "Maltese" in my profile, as in Maltese dog, and maybe they thought that meant I'm Italian. I don't know. I finally just shut of Yahoo messenger. Hopefully facebook doesn't come to that though as I really like it so far and have gotten in touch with people from years ago that I lost contact with.
I just leave people I don't know or don't want to add in purgatory so to speak. Don't accept or deny, I just leave the request there. I had a lot and some that were 3+ years old until one of my friends went through and cleaned out my facebook.
Chris I just PM'd you. Thanks. Here is the link to my FB if anyone want to friend request me. http://www.facebook.com/people/Aimee-Shackelford/605091305#/profile.php?id=605091305
Anyone else wary of advertising your private details online like this? I fear I may regret it some years down the road. This social networking trend just doesn't sit well with me.
If anyone feels likeadding me here's my profile page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=543102115&ref=profile All I ask is that you say "*person x* from fchat" or something of the like, thanks -David
Be sure to include your F-Chat handle or I will toss your name into oblivion... unless, of course, you have exceptional feminine attributes !!! http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/profile.php?id=1209467873&ref=profile
We are in, I guess Still learning how to use the facebook site http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1036750001&ref=name
Should be a business profile rather than a person profile page. You "Become a Fan" rather than "Become a Friend" of businesses.
I think you can set up a new one... I'd keep the regular one too and get readd people. When you log out totally, on the main page there's a link for celeb/fan, business and cause pages.
