Next instalment Fuel tank bladder replacement featuring some more stellar workmanship from the franchised Ferrari dealer Who was it that suggested that Ferraris should only be serviced by Ferrari dealers?
Nice pics, is the fuel tank bladder the one that has to be replaced every ten years at a cost of some stupid amount? Or am I totally on the wrong track
Yup at a ludicrous $19k from the franchised dealer. It could be done about 30% cheaper (maybe more) by sourcing the bladders outside the dealer network and using an independent workshop. I wanted a dealer invoice for this job for various reasons. For that sort of money you would expect a perfect job with perfect attention to detail from the factory trained techs.............. right?
I'm Vadim Dobrovolsky, representative of Russian and Ukrainian car magazine Autoreview (www.autoreview.ru). I'm working at the book about history Ferrari F50 now. Can I ask you to help me with more information about your Ferrari F50 s/n 107200? Please wright me at [email protected]!
Yup. The sealant patch on the crack on the casing of the oil pump failed. It is getting welded by a specialist this week. Initially it looked like there were no examples of this part left anywhere in the world; but it appears one has turned up. It is one section of the oil pump body (I think there are 5 all up). The cost of the part is just under $5000 so I am hoping the welding works
Not petty cash for me mate. I'll be fronting up to Roland's for a pay day loan if I need to buy that part
Busy busy 360C, real work coming out these days. althought slow, but steady. Product launch very soon, just testing the website atm. Will have photos posted somewhere.
