I have never seen that seal. Where is it located?

Lovely, lovely example BTW. What's the history? Sorry if you posted it and I missed it.

The seal is located on the lip of the wastegate diaphragm cap.

    Thank you.

June 4th 1985 - Delivered new to Jacques Swaters (Ecurie Francorchamps/Garage Francorchamps).
Engine number 186, gearbox number 180.
    Rosso Corsa 300/6, all-black VM8500 interior, air-conditioning, electric windows.
June 15th 1985 -Driven to the Zandvoort GTO meet by Swaters with registration number "338.X.3", one of 12 GTOs in attendance.
July 24th 1985 - Belgian Certificate of Identification issued for prominent USA collector who purchased the car directly from Swaters.
August 13th 1985 -Arrives in the USA.

Essentially, thats the car's life story as it lived in a collection where it was regularly maintained but rarely driven. Of course, I am trying to change that.

I will subject this matter to immediate investigation to be sure and report in due course...

But meanwhile I doubt it does, but rather it probably uses a shutoff valve to delete the warm air from the side that it is not required.
