It was a really good race and I never took it for granted that I had it won until the checkers. There were so many other good teams competing and I feel very fortunate to have been able to compete with such an elite group of racers. But I did not do it on my own. My pit crew kept me well put together and kept me running when I thought there was nothing left. It looks like we put together some pretty good race strategy that paid off this time. I would also like to thank my nutritionist, my masseuse, my financial planners and all the other support team members. There were so many lead changes that I would have hated being the scorer. It appeared as though that with every new post the lead would change. How ironic.............. We will go out and celebrate tonight and then get back to work tomorrow getting ready for the next race........................ P.S. I actually do not know what happened to the other thread. I had posted and was going back to see if someone had been posting at the same time as me and I could not get back in. It said there had been a fatal error......... Image Unavailable, Please Login
FYI, I posted about a thousand smiley faces in that thread. I have done this in several other instances in the past 5.5 years on this board and never once has it caused an issue. Lastnight there must have been several simultaneous posts to the thread or DB at once while I was posting and the DB table got corrupted. It happens.

No, the safety car will come out and guide everyone to the grid. At that point, an official will come out and have everybody rearrage to what they feel is the correct order. Anyone a lap behind will move to the right and be allowed to proceed before the lead lap runners. This is, of course, providing the monsoons let up before it gets dark. Half points if not 75% complete.

Beast, I told them that you passed under caution, ran over the white line leaving the pit lane, ran too fast in the pit lane and ignored the corner worker. Other than that you were okay. Beside the fact that you also had your engine changed during the down time....... Oh, and you brake checked Darroll causing him to run off into the gravel, pushed Mike in Kuwait off at the apex of the corner and ignored team orders from Bernie............ anything else anyone else can think of?
