16M Ipod Pics....

Man, this ipod setup in the 16M is very cool ! Easy push button release, and separate volume control on the center console...

The sound itself is very good...much improved over the system in the Scuderia Coupe with much better bass and midrange...very pleased with it.

Ferrai sends the ipod with preloaded Scuderia Coupe and 16M videos/pics. There is a video of Schumacher ripping up a scuderia on the track !(see pic below), mpegs of exhaust notes, and various other videos.

All in all, for a first time use of the ipod in their cars, they did it right

cool stuff... maybe im missing something but where do you actually control the ipod and volume etc. i didnt see it in your pics

Is that a Becker unit or a Bose ? -- I'm wondering if you can post up any visible the part #s-- would be a great retrofit for other 430 owners.

How do you find the sound with the top down ?..is it loud enough, and how's the sound quality ?

There's an app you should download if Ferrari hasn't provided anything similar. Should be a fun add-on.

Great to see technology thats relevant and works well.....must say some people moan that Ferrari doesnt put enough gadgets in its cars, my reply "well everything that one needs is there".

Ipod has become one of what I call "need" technologies but when that V8 is screaming, the horizon rushing towards you technology is the last thing on your mind...

Dynolicious functionality is optimized for the integrated GPS which the iPod Touch currently does not include. Maybe next version???

 

Good point. I wonder if certain functions are non-functional or just calculated at a different rate.

EDIT: According to their support forum, their site admin states the following:
"Dynolicious does not require GPS for any of its calculations, so all (current) iPod touch and iPhones will work with it. Without a doubt it will work on the iPod touch."

But I'm pretty sure it does require the iPod Touch to be mounted in a vertical orientation. So it would have to be out of the dock to get proper results.

 

You're right too. Read another thread in their forum and the same admin says it's best to point it towards the direction of travel and not right or left. That would mean it would have to come out of the docking bay in the dash and remounted. Ah well, still looks like a fun toy but definitely not as good as a real data acquisition device I'd imagine. Then again, it all depends on the purpose...

That looks FANTASTIC! It is certainly complimentary to the "spartan" carbon fiber interior.
