If I were driving the mule around Italy and/or Scandinavia, I'd mount some fake missiles and gun ports on it, just to throw the reporters off.

I really hope you mean that "all will be revealed."

The California is widely "reviled" on a few other threads. Ferrari mustn't release two cars this close together that so few people like! ;)

I don't know if they are new because I wasn't looking at them that closely, but FoW had two 430's sitting in thier showroom for sale today. At least one was a spider.

I didn't think anybody would read that post - it was really about nothing... But thanks. I'm not going to edit it though because nobody will ever go back and see what I had to say... not to mention it makes me look illiterate. So the next time something is well said by me, I'll look brilliant. You see, you have to find the bright side Brad.

    Noticed something interesting.....

The F4XX does not seem to have air intake ducts on the rear fender like that of the 360 and F430. The test mule seen has two scoops on the rear deck area facing forward. I am pretty sure the mule IS the testbed for the next FXX given production timeline. Does this mean Ferrari will device a way to draw air from the rear deck of the vehicle? I don't believe that has been done before in a production Ferrari. Should be interesting.

Anyone see the new CAR AND DRIVER issue. The main feature is "20 cars worth waiting for.One bieng the FERRARI F500.Bump in displacement to 5.0 making over 550 hp,7 speed dual-clutch,with the Spider and "Scuderia " versions debuting in 2010 and 2011 respectively.Anyones take on this? From the image posted,it looks like the most dangerous V-8 FERRARI ever.

Isn't there an air inlet between the window and the C-pillar? Just like the 599, but the air is led to the engine?

I see that as well. Makes me wonder how they will position this inlet with the spider version.

I think that's the same pic that Car mag has up on their web site this morning along with a bit of speculation as to specifications.

Yes, I agree. Although quite nice, those images look much more like a Maserati concept than the birth of a car worthy to wear the Ferrari badge.

Hmmm... I hope it doesn't look like that. It's like the illicit lovechild of a Ferrari 430 and a Peugeot 407 Coupe. :(

If the inlet will be there, I'm sure they'll find a way. Or could the rumour be true, that there won't be a Spider version at all? Just something like a GTS with a retractable hard top?

Interesting, the front end, in particular, looks very 'Maserati' to me

Older photoshop. Look at the spy photos, the real car looks VERY different.

Huh? Which styling clues, apart from the four wheels and two doors? ;)

Headlights and hood line look very cougar-esque to me. Just an opinion --

Could pass for a 456 replacement but not a F430 replacement (at least I hope not).

I was looking at the F430abio picture about two above the post -- apologies if I didn't make that clear.
