Congrats. I'm "almost" using my GT2 as a daily driver.

I always thought dark side was Lambos as well. I kinda see Porsches and Ferraris in the same "light". :)

Congrats Lung. I have also been moving back to Porsche. Had a 997 GT3RS which I got bored of very quickly and sold in early 07. I was thinking about a 997 Turbo too but gave it a miss inspite of depressed price in HK with banker exodus. Recently bought a 993RS, 930 Turbo SE and a 993 3.8 Cabrio. Really like air cooled again. Suspect that the 993RS will become a real favourite. 930 Turbo SE only has 7k miles since new and is in time warp condition so it will be an occasional use car. 3.8 Cabrio is deadly beautiful in Riviera blue with GT2 front lip, perfect condition.

    Congrats! :)

We had our 997 4S for 2 months and 5000km now. Great car. Absolutely love it. I'm just not convinced by the TipTronic. It's quite slow in sequential mode. Feels out of place on a sport car IMVHO. Let us know what you think of the tip.

The problem is my other car is a Scuderia. One cannot compare the 997 tip to the superfast gears of the Scuderia.
I just use the Turbo for daily driving in auto mode all the time. Its the first sports car that my wife wants to drive regularly. I don't know if thats a good thing :)

    I see...I can imagine.

As automatic, there is nothing wrong with the tip. I think you will be happy with it :)

It gets the job done for daily driving. Plus I'm sure it has enough horsepower on tap, and with an F430 parked next to it I think he has all bases covered.

I was at a Porsche tech event last weekend, and cobalt looks great on these cars.

They're also pushing macadamia brown (metallic), which could be too trendy for its own good.
