Okay, there are 145 of the 400 5 speeds (out of 500 total), 424 of the 400i 5 speeds (out of 1,308 total) and 270 of the 412 412 5 speeds (out of 576 total) produced.

How many 5 speed owners are here on FChat? Please check in and let us know that you are here!

Also, my records show only 7 of the 5 speed 400 versions, 36 400i versions and 16 412 5 speed versions as being resident in the U.S. Are there more that are in the States?

It would be great to get definitive count on how many of these rare birds still are on the road no matter what part of the world they are in as well as here in the States!

Here's my list of what is here in the States:

    400: 20789, 21569, 22447, 22579, 23123 (appears to be converted auto in SF), 24019 and 25735. 7 total.

    400i: 30561, 30683, 31097, 31723, 35097, 36147, 37725, 40501, 40557, 43259, 43665, 44121, 44183, 45527, 45535, 46009, 46013, 46153 (mine), 47367, 47589, 48237, 48741, 49033, 49041, 49379, 49605, 50329, 51149, 51903, 52245, 53069, 53501, 54623, 54629, 54877, 55019. 36 Total. I know at least 3 of these are here in Connecticut.

    412: 60359, 60389, 61595, 62895, 62939, 63321, 63939, 64647, 64701, 65315, 65455, 66889, 66979, 67463, 74099, 80923. 16 Total.

So, who else is out there? Check in and report please!

Of course not, but I was just trying to find out the 5 speed owners among the series (400/400i/412) that also had the automatic option.

It would make sense though to find out how many 365GT4 2+2 owners there are on FChat, so please chime in and you don't have to identify the transmission type!

Also, any pictures, descriptions and stories about the cars would be fun to have included as well.

    Consider this thread amended!

Apparently there were five 365's built with automatics. One of those 5 is for sale in the FCA monthly magazine. I am only going by what the ad says.

    Rich,

Interesting ownership history; creepy and cool at the same time.

Now, if he'd said Baby Doc, I'd have got it! (And I should've re-scanned the whole thread.) Thanks for clarifying.

Art, the documented history is cool, but I agree that it is a little creepy. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I didn't find any money, drugs or bodies stashed away in it. It's got a good home now though.

Here's my 400i GT 5-speed. When my tour in the States ends I will be taken it back to Europe. I have been working on the car for almost a year at the moment. I think I will finish up this summer, looking forward for that.

Did you buy the car from Forza Motorsports in CT when it was advertised in 2005? Looks as though that is the location of your picture.

    Thanks for checking in!

That's correct I bought the car from Peter at Forza Motorsports, in july 2008 however. There has been a lot of work done on the car since then.

Good to hear and see from other 400i owners here on the site.

I have a 400gt right hand drive manual UK model from 1977 I understand there were only 21 cars built with this spec, would be interesting to know how many of these are left.
