From the mid-atlantic forum. I saw these beauties the other day and snapped some shots. Enjoy! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=238311&nojs=1#goto_threadsearch
The second legend is in the background since there is hardly any picture showing the real colour of the 350 Cabrio/Spyder.
Hi Joe The bronze-coloured car in the background is presumably #0328, one of the 350 GTS's? I understand that one of the 2 cars is widely known to be in the hands of one of the well-known Lambo restorers in the US. Is the whereabouts of the other car known, and which car is which? Best.............. David S
No, in fact it is the other way around, the bronze 350 GTS shown here is #0325. The black one was #0328. You can check this at the Lamborghini 350 GT Registro internazionale: http://www.lamborghiniregistry.nl/default.asp?010010000000/001 Great to see a color shot of that dark blue 350 GT on the other side of the Miura chassis, I knew it had to be a dark color, but this is very helpfull, thanks! A little of topic here, sorry Please reply at the 350/400 thread, grazie! Ciao! Marcel
Yes, I'm sure, with a green interior On the ILR it is said that 0328 was the golden car Turin Show car at the Touring stand... I found that very hard to believe because the golden car was at the same display as the Miura chassis, so it was clearly the car at the Lamborghini stand, and NOT Touring. And that was just the start of my research... You can read the info on the last few pages of the 350/400 thread. Restorer Al found some gold paint during restoration, and he confirmed he own's 0325, I think that should be enough to confirm my theory. Cheers, Marcel PS: ok, dark green or dark blu, I will keep that in mind, thanks Joe
The ILR is wrong, already in the book Lamborghini year by year by serge bellu it's mentioned that the black car was at the touring stand and many pictures showing the golden car with the miura chassis. There is a single picture of the black one wearing a hard top. Pages 44-50 in the book.
Thanks for writing, I just figured the author of the Miura Bible might know where the miura roadster was going or what it sold for, no harm in asking. If you do find out eventually what it sold for could you share with the forum if this car became the first $2+ million Lambo, as I remember it being shopped for about $2.5 back in Dec? Either way I am sure it must have been pretty cool to be involved in a previous sale of this very special and stunning car!! Erik
Hey Joe what colour is this officially? or is it not a factory original colour. (pics courtesy of Yo on supercarfrance) Oh and dont look at the S its not only upside down its skewif! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don't know about the coulour ref., but FYI : it's #3649 - still in France but now Yellow - but "S" still in same position !
Its a post-production non-original green - and the reason for this is that this car is production number 234, chassis number 3649, finished originally in "Argento Acrilico" (silver) with a "Skay Senape" (tan vinyl) interior, bearing engine number 2211. It was finished at the Sant Agata works on the 7th of August 1968 and sent to the French concessionaire Voiures Paris Monceau. There is also a reason that the badge is askew - it wasn't applied there by the factory, because this car was delivered as a P400. A privateer "upgraded" it with an "S" badge, the location of which was to his personal taste!
In the late Eighties, seeing his metallic-green Miura still unsold after many months, the seller decided to repaint it in its current Yellow colour... Image Unavailable, Please Login
