I pretty much said the same thing to him. He isn't a big F1 fan so it wasn't such a big deal for him .. in fact I think he was more excited by my reaction than anything else.

He's a 7 handicapper, and he said they hardly said a word through the front 9, but come the 11th he gave Heikki a tip & he promptly belted it straight down the middle "a long way for a little fella". After that Heikki was more talkative and afterwards they had a quick beer and met Heikki's missus. They invited him to dinner at the Hard Rock, which he declined to go chilli crab with me, so I guess I should be happy that he chose me over them. I'm not sure if I would have done the same though.

BTW how is the club doing? Got a letter from the Prez.

 

Sounds like what they say about the Finns are true. Quiet, reserved.

 

I've been a little busy with work so didn't make the last Monday meeting .. but there doesn't seem to be a lot happening with it at mom .. besides the local drives. I'd like to arrange something across the link, but I don't know enough of the B roads there to plan a decent route. Letter from the prez .. I'm not aware of that, other than the "please join" request, which you shouldn't get being a new car buyer within the last 12 months.

Do you know of any track events coming up that I can tag along?

Playing golf apparently and chilling out prior to Shanghai this weekend .. I guess they were enjoying the anonymity of being in Singapore.

I'm glad the jealousy wasn't limited to just myself

I received a mail from Amanda and also from a committee member today.
Why may I ask is the club always meeting at the same place to watch F1. It appears that its always doing the same thing.
I thought the whole idea was to reinvent the club.

Can someone explain this routine to me?
