I was going to mention that I have two yellow FCA polo shirts that I bought on sale and wear wherever and whenever I feel like it, but I'm afraid the next post will be a picture of Erik Estrada with a towel.

    Ha!

Personally, I do not see anything wrong with wearing the flag from time to time, but I too know some that take it a little far. Hell, its a shirt people, not a suit of armor. If I wear one with an alligator on the tit does that make me a slave to Izod fashion?

1:You're on for the track day. I'll bring my 4 door daily, you bring whatever you want. I'll leave the carseats in.
2:You called another guy's Ferrari intake ricey, and you drove that POS? Who cares if you owned it, you used Civic to mock someone. Self-owned.
3:Spec Miata- OK, you called it a Miata Race Car. Most common race car Miata is a Spec car. From description, you're correct, it isn't even close. There are a good number of Spec Miata racers here.
4:I doubt you have driven more than 1/2 the people in this thread. Even have bike racers in here (he is pretty old though :))
5:Clothes don't make the man. Character makes the man. You have neither.
    6:You don't work for Domino's, do you?

Bring your four door daily...but I would prefer something that could be a closer run for my money. Don't act blind and say Miata's can't handle, especially sub 2000lbs boosted ones. My old Civic wasn't a POS you haven't seen it, you found a pic from 2004 or something, it was a well built car before I sold it, it got the job done what it was built for. You can bash a kids race car all you want, in the end I built that car with my own money, my own job, no support, and I am proud of being able to do that at a young age, especially keeping it off the streets and out of that scene like most kids that age do.

I said his intake looked ricey, it was Pep Boys products, I PERSONALLY wouldn't put stuff like that on a car like that.

Glad to hear there are some SM drivers in here.

I have driven quite a few exotics and race cars, as my comment was kind of kidding around not knowing you were being so serious, and knowing I was contradicting myself. My line of work allows me seat time in quite a few nice cars, and my experience on track lets me know some people with cool cars, simple as that.

I have a strong character, I may not spend all my money on clothes because I don't care. I present myself in a nice casual fashion, wear some nice cologne, and keep myself clean lol. I can impress without objects.

I will say sorry for offending you, I got off on the wrong track with you.

In the FFIC, the rule is:

You can wear one (1) piece of f-clothing in the fcar (one hat, one shirt, just ONE!) You can wear two pieces if you are not in the fcar. If you wear more than this number, you look like a wanker.

Wow, that is by far the best rule I have heard and extremely acceptable. I think I will print that out and frame it.

Good lord Jim, don't wear them together ;)
    Which Mr. Ferrari? :)
You have one of the ties too, I'm sure. Nobody knows what those are.
I usually only wear hat or shirt. Tie looks funny with either.

Simon, the 4 door will be just fine. You need to adjust your idea of your abilities, they may be running harder than you expect. There is always someone faster. Always. Miata's can handle. So can Mini's, and even 4-doors that weigh double what a Miata weighs. It isn't the car, or the tires, or the motor.

Many in this forum are self made. Many people in this forum are from very humble beginnings. And don't confuse strong character with rudeness.

Great information, however you can't judge someone until you meet them in person, as of right now I am just words from a computer screen. Yes, there is a real person behind them, but you can't hear sarcasm, laughing, a joking voice, etc. I do know there are four doors that can handle well, I do know that my driving ability is good. I have raced some great names in racing, and can compete. Name a track day (within reach of me) and I will be there.

I don't wash cars for a living, I do it in my spare time for extra cash, and only detail the "nicer" cars, I am a full time college student, have a real job, and also have a small eBay business I started a few years ago.

You owe BigTex an apology. I know him and his three Fcars personally, and can testify that not only does he treat women well (sometimes a little, ahem, too well) and wears the shirt to fly the colors, not to impress - cars themselves do that on their own.

I'm sure one day you'll understand the difference. For now, I would really recommend to show your maturity and take this opportunity to apologize.

Detailing was in his profile JR :)
I'm thinking I'm a long ways from him. We can do identical rental cars and track them. Town Car challenge? ;)
    Lord, just read his response.

Ok, well I am sorry to him as well for stating a comment that I don't really know anything about. Like I said, it's the internet, I don't know you all personally or how you really are, it was unfair of me to say otherwise.

WOW - this thread is awesome.

Hurry, someone mention an article of clothing they do or do not wear before the mod's close the thread and the bashing ends.

I LOVED the cards -too funny.
