I learned that a few here need to have just a little bit more compassion for others.

 

i learned that girls are nuts. actually, it was more of a "re-learn".

 

I learned that the state weighting matrix Q used in the design of linear quadratic controls doesn not need to be positive definite but only positive semidefinite due to the fact that x'Qx with x being the state vectors can also be written as (C^-1*y)'Q(C^-1*y). Thats cool, isn't it?

 

Ahh, but can you fit all that in a pocket protector?

I learned that agup48 does not deserve any help.

 

i learned that infosystems 1800 (an introductory computer class required by my college) is a waste of my time. i had 2 tests yesterday, a finance exam, and an excel competency exam in this computer class, i didn't study for the excel test at all and only missed 1 question. we learned how to make a new folder on a computer the first week of class. i missed testing out of the class by 1 question. if only i could have that 1 question back, (it's an easy A though, i guess that's a good thing)

i also learned in my business law class exactly what the mcdonalds coffee lawsuit was about, it's actually pretty interesting once you understand it, not just a ploy to get $ from mcdonalds.

 

I learned this week that my new employer is much like my old employer. Your level of influence is determined more by your suction ability than technical productivity.

 

I have re-learned how important it is to monitor their periods, there is a blackberry app. When you say something you shouldn't have while they are overly hormonal, well, I think we have all been there.

 

I have learned rebuilding a salvaged titled vehicle cost more than I had budgeted for.

 

I've learned that my yard-mutt Stevie loves me more than any of my kids.

I have learned not to cheap out and buy the condensed textbook. Only to have the last 4 chapters you are missing be assigned as self-teaching for the final. $180 mistake.

 

I learned that often times, people who have crappy situations have them because they put themselves there. Not talking about agup.

Today in Boston it was supposed to be 70 degrees. I worked late last night planning to take my little cousins horse back riding and to the petting zoo. Had it all planned out. Due to their mother (the one I've posted about before being a welch and mooching off welfare and others), the plans all fell apart.

 

I learned that my four year old twins are a lot smarter than I gave them credit for.

 

That offering to look after my mums two dogs while she was away was not a good idea. I had them at my house yesterday and went to bed after leaving them shut in the kitchen. One of them barked ALL night and last night i had the worst nights sleep ever My girlfriend sleeps lighter than me so she barely got any at all.

Ive brought them round to hers and we are going to stay here instead, and they are fine now. The other problem is that they are tiny Yorkshire Terriers and me walking them on my own in public looks a bit dubious

 

I learned that sweet potato casserole has a surprisingly short shelf life.

 

I learned that a simple sea captain in a merchant marine vessel can become a national hero through his wisdom, courage, training, and self sacrifice.

 

I learned that you don't f**k with the Navy SEALS.
