    Hello
Living in France, I have just bought a F355 from Germany. The alarm configuration is not the same in all the countries according to the user manual (cf following picture)

I would like to set mine to the French configuration ie siren + side lights and not only the siren as for germany configuration. The parts manual shows only two references for the alarm ecu which correspond to the 2 used remote frequencies (350 or 433 MHz). So I guess that the alarm configuration is done either via the diagnostic tool or by the harness or both. On mine, see pictures, there are 3 connectors which are not used near the alarm ecu :
    - 1 black with 3 wires which is diagnostic interface
    - 1 black with 2 wires -> no idea about this one
    - 1 white with 6 wies -> wonder if it could be side lights connector. I have not yet removed the rivets to see if this connector can be plugged directly on the alarm ecu.

Do you know guys what is this white connector? On a siren + light configuration (eg US) is it connected to the ecu? Does it exist a wiring diagram of this alarm?
Thanks for any help … not a great concern anyway, I love this car … and even more since I have opened the by-pass valve! Wow 
    Enjoy

    Hello Eric,
Have you got since then any news on how to set the configuration to another country setting? My 355 is a Swiss one and I hate not hearing the bip or seeing the lights flashing coz I'm never 100% sure the car is properly closed. So I definitely would like to change this setting to the "Europe" configuration having both options enabled. If you got some tips on how to change this, I would really appreciate it a lot.
    Cheers,
    Stef

    Hi Stef
the only confirmation I got is that the white connector is not there for the connection of the side lights to the alarm ECU. Indeed, I triggered the alarm of my car a couple of times and both the siren and the side lights were actuated. So, the table in the user manual seems more related to the remote operations than to the behaviour of the alarm when triggered.
I doubt that the configuration is done with the harness, anyway, can you have a look to those spare connectors on your car?
The most plausible option is that the configuration is done changing somes parameters in the software of the ECU using a diagnosis system. Never got a confirmation of that though, and because of the lack of data available on this alarm system I didn't even try to investigate further. Not a so big deal in my case and I ended living with it as it is.
