I don't think it's a replicar, just a bizarre 1950's Italian oneoff, like a few coachbuilt Ferraris from that era.

Nope. The car on the right is the real car. Two real cars were built; one with the 2 portholes and one with the 4 vents, like on the replicar. It's my understanding that the replicar body was put on a real Cisitalia 202 PF coupe chassis (a real car needing total restoration).

The the silver car below is the other real one..

    Hmmm,

I saw this one in a Porsche shop being worked on:

Now that shop charges $160 an hour so it wasn't cheap whatever was going on there. They had said that didn't have the original engine. How does this one fit into your world or is this the replica(?) you are talking about?

Nah you,re wrong about that. The worst rep car is as we speak on Aussie ebay..it,s called a machiavelli.I,m not good enough but I,m sure someone can put a post up...so long as you have a bucket handy. It,s an American built thing as you,ll read...I,m sure you will all distance yourselves.

Its good to be reminded that we didn't have a lock on outre auto styling in the 50's. Even the Eyetalians, bless their hearts, weren't immune from the occassional lapse of common sense and good judgement!

Contestant: I'll take crappy replicas for 1000, Alex.

    Alex Trebek: Daily Double!

Contestant: I've always wanted to say this... I'd like to make it a true Daily Double.

Alex Trebek: Alright! Good luck and here is your clue. The only other thing that's Red, with Wings aside from a very used menstrual pad.

Contestant: What is a bad replica of a Cisitalia Savanuzzi Aerodynamica?

Alex Trebek: [condescending smirk]Eh... unfortunately, no. Pronunciation is key! The correct answer is Cisitalia Savonuzzi Aerodynamica... Cisitalia Savonuzzi Aerodynamica.[/condescending smirk] Your board is yours.
