    Very nice, but keep in mind that most/all of these pictures are combinations of several (edited) photos. It doesn't look like that when you fly past Saturn in "real life".

    Who was it that proved (way before sat or telescope images) that the rings of Saturn had to be made of individual particles rather than a solid mass? (did it by showing that a solid ring would become unstable and crash into the planet)

    Isaac Newton? - gravitational theory first hero, (but I think it was someone else)

    Taking my Pentax 12x50 binoculars out on a cold, clear, winter night is amazing. I also have an old telescope. I can see the rings, but not like that... Sweet!
