I bought this big stomping 4x4 6.0 diesel Ford Excursion

I'll look into modding it to run Biodiesel

Where do buy that stuff anyways or do you have to make your own ?

When's Earth Day?

 

Today.

 

April 22nd.

I didn't know it was Urf Day until I got to work. By then I had already showered (fresh water), used shampoo and body wash (chemicals), driven 20 miles to work (CO2 emissions) and thrown away styrofoam (not biodegradable) to ultimately go into a landfill.

 

I celebrated by throwing away about a dozen empty plastic water bottles, Drove my 4-Runner through a local wetland, Bought a can of aerosol hairspray (Vs the pump bottle) because it was on sale at WalMart and changed my oil over a sewer drain

 

I switched everything to paperless billing months ago.

 

With all this Rah-rah Go-Green crap going around you'd thought the news would've made a bigger deal about it. I listened to the radio all day and never heard mention of it.

I no sooner wrote this then there was an earth-day story on the radio.

 

Cool rig.

I've always wanted to take the opposite approach. Say shoehorn a 502ci GM crate engine into one of these.

I heard more about 4:20 day on the radio than anything..............Maybe that's because I am in range of SF and Berkeley stations!

 

I filled my car with premium gas..........

 

I recycled some plastic, tasted a little mother nature then molested myself.

I drove my 14 mpg SUV, smoked a cigar, and threw a water bottle into the trash.

 

Two years ago, I made a complete line of "green" products. I showed them to every major retailer SEVERAL TIMES.

Their universal reaction: "People don't care about green." People talk a lot about it and want someone else to do something about it but the ones who put out their hard earned cash for green products are only 10% of the market... not enough for major retailers to care.

They all appreciated what I was doing and understood that it was the right thing to do. But, they just don't see any evidence that green really sells.

By the way, I showed it again last year and they still had the same reaction. Nothing had changed.

So, for earthday, I looked again at my green product line that no one wanted to buy and scratched my head.

 

what were the products?

 

That would make a great surf fishing ride the only thing missing is a frontmount rod rack and a plane ticket to join you!

Sweet, I could use one of those in Argentina on my escort vehicle

It would have to keep up w an M5 and a Z06 though

Maybe a supercharger would help it keep up on the straights

 

Thats a shame, I just redid my condo and went green by replacing all my 20th C incandescents w LED lights and low energy new appliances

When I buy a house, probably in Reno, I'll set up solar panels, LED lights and other Green steps to drop energy consumption

This Lotus w a body made of hemp is super cool

I'm dreaming up building a solar electric testarossa convertible, That huge rear deck is perfect for a large solar panel

 

I spent the day churning up dirt and grass while testing dirt bikes at work.

 

I had the pleasure of hearing from my 15 year old that she found out our carbon footprint was alarmingly large and that all the chemicals used in cars and houses are deadly.

And I pay to send her to that school.

 

I took 2 huge ****s.

I felt a lot better after the second one.

I also flush toilets up to 20 times a day.

 

Went outside breathed alot, drove, ate, sleeped, and cut down a few trees.
