Others have been worse alright. One year I raced we had to slow to walking pace as it was raining so hard you literally couldn't see the sides of the road let alone what was in front. Never seen anything like it.

met the boys at the dock of the bay and following a quick coffee with PP and the team we loaded my gear into the ML and proceeded onto the Spirit of Tasmania ... settling in with a couple of beers and then dinner.

We had dinner next to Klaus Bischof (sp) who Waz said was someone important in the Porsche world (maybe he is the one who dropped the egg ?) and BG proceeded to up set the Porker crowd by suggesting we count the F1 championships Porsche have won over the years and they countered by mentioning some little known French race called Le Mans or something like that (seriously, as if the Germans would go to France to do anything other than invade it :p )

We had some squawking from the TT driver about the noise the boat was making and then later some whining about the motion of the ocean :)

Anyway, a couple of Kwells and BG was asleep before all of us and snoring that made the noise the boat was making seem inconsequential  :)

Next morning BG and I go for a run around the boat, stop for a coffee and then go and wake the team up.

SOT docks at Devonport at 7am and we get off y 7:30 and proceed to the hotel in Launcestopn, nice hotel and worth putting on your list if you're in this area, then go to the documentation facility at the Silverdome , register, get more stuff for driver/nav and car then off to scrutineering where we put this extra 'stuff' on the car (see pics) and put the 360CH through the process which it sails thrugh comfortably and gets locked away for the night in the velodrome with the other masochists in equally uncomfortably looking cars (I'll bet half don't have air-con or CD stackers !!!! )

Had a quiet night , few beers, watched GP (I hate Ferrari)

    Hey Mr Dee Jay....
    Entry list Here

I am surprised there arent more "specialist rally" teams in the event. With the ARC top end so tight, you would have thought Targa Tasmania might have offered an alternative use for the myriad Evos and WRX's in that series...

It's an extra cooling scoop that was developed by PHR for (if memory serves me correctly) something to do with the F1 system; but I could be wrong!

Can't Horsey. Seems a really strange spot. Not familiar enough with the cars to work it out hence my post. The fact its on one side tends to suggest 360C is right particularly with the gearbox location.

I am sure the head mechanic will come back and confirm tomorow. That being Mr. Moretts. ;)
