^^^ 360C I'd love to be able to Pollen proof my garage this time of year. I just don't think it's possible to dust proof these doors.

You must be a strong man... but do you trust those strings on the left side (blue and red) to hold the car? ;)

I would LOVE to find out how to stop dust, leaves and whatever blowing in through the gaps in the entry doors.

From memory it's 16.5 sq metres. Enough for six cars with all their doors open without touching other cars or walls. There is also room for workbenches etc at the front.

Like most of you I have multi-section doors on my garage, I fixed the dust, leaves, and bug problem. Here's how:

Bugs: remove the food source---other bugs!

Dust: no bare concrete, garage floors need to be finished

Bugs, leaves, dust: Install the special door gaskets, and replace the usually worn astragal on the bottom of the door made especially for garage doors. After you install these gaskets, seal all cracks around the doors with caulking, and especially pay close attention to gaps at the floor level. These gaps must be caulked or foam sealed. Otherwise, creepy crawly bugs will continue to come inside.

Once you seal and gasket everything, you'll be very surprised by how clean your garage will be maintained. Obviously, your car will track in dirt and gravel, you'll need to always sweep, vacuum or mop your floors to keep the floor clean.

There is no way to dust proof a garage - covers are the only way to keep a car clean - in my latest garage(after several) it is well sealed and has electronic filters on the a/c and heat and guess what - still gets dust

The photo doesn't show it very well; but the floors are painted with a special paint, so no bare concrete. No bugs either as it is regularly swept etc.

I am interested to see what you mean by "special door gaskets" ? The builders tried to seal the gaps on the sides of the doors between the rails and the bricks with high density foam; but the dust still gets in. At the top of the doors the rails move away from the wall and on to the roof, leaving a gap that can't be sealed by any means that I can think of. When you have 3 doors, that's a fair amount of dust entry points.

I would like to finish the garage off properly; but without a solution to the dust it seems pretty pointless sadly.

I use very large clear plastic sheets to cover the cars. You can still see them and dust seeps through normal fitted cloth covers anyway. Electronic filters? Sounds interesting, can you tell elaborate please?

Reminds me of this garage from Marshall, Texas. Before everything was auctioned by RM in 2007 it belonged to Gene Ponder. The TR and 212 are reproductions, PS.

I agree! I have always loved the Old signs and pumps. They will always make a Garage look fantastic. Can't wait to get out of where I am at so I can get my garage together.:(
