tricky handling outside of track use, zero visibility for drivers around you, shakes like a bastard on the road over the lightest of bumps, not legal in Ontario , so you need to get a BC or QC plate, cops constantly pull you over, unreliable, insane insurance (try and explain what it is), very tiring to drive over 1 hour...that being said it is insane fun for the track, but if I was going to buy a dedicated track vehicle I would pick either a bike or a car, not something in-between.

But, thats just my experienced opinion, go rent one for a weekend, you might love it.

    Cheers

That's the one I saw on College Street this weekend. The passenger for some reason though it was ok to simply hold his helmet on his lap as opposed to wearing it properly. *sigh*

At which point, the driver should have told him to get out and start walking.

    That's sooo pimp!

    No kidding. I would.

No, it's for a motorcycle. A racecar helmet is fine too no?

A motorcycle helmet is for motorcycles, a car helmet is for cars...you should know that Vasco!

I think I know who owns that one - he has an amazing collection that is rarely driven.

You'd really like my open-wheel car helmet for bikes (same as Danica wears woo hoo), but Jay's right. Stick with the bike helmet for bikes. I'll keep you in mind should any deals come my way.

I'm guessing it was his car I saw on Saturday afternoon, then.

    It looks great in white!

It's true. I should know...but it's been a couple of years since I rode. And I thought it was the same rating. My bad.

I just bought another old bike and need one soon. No biggie. :)

IMHO I think it actually is. When I got my new helmet last year I went for an "automotive" or SA (Sport Application) Bell helmet and I also use it on my motorcycle as well. All the research I did at the time basically indicated that full face Snell SA helmets exceed the requirements for standard Snell or DOT approval. Most of the time the key difference I found was fire rating more than anything else. Granted, if I was riding every day I would get another helmet (probably to match the bike) but for my occasional use I just roll with my Bell.

Driving up yonge street last night on my way to a concert, saw 3 Bentley continental gt's in the span of 3 minutes. One green, one black, and one white with a body kit and black rims, looked pretty bada**
