Italian watchmaker Meccaniche Veloci and Brembo, supplier of high performance brake discs, have banded together to create the unique timepiece. Building on the already established Quattro Valvore series of watches, the two companies reportedly spent four years researching and developing the watch. The watch is made from carbon ceramic – which is the material Brembo uses to manufacture its high-tech brakes – using the same process as competition specific pistons. Made up of short carbon fibers, phenolic resin and silicon, the end result is 30% lighter than cast iron. Due to the structure of the material, only a limited number can be produced in a month, with each Brembo disc yielding just seven pieces.

The Quattro Valvole series of watches takes its name from the four valves that Ferrari used in its 1984 model 308 GTS and lovers of racing will not be disappointed with the aesthetics on display here. Featured are four separate faces, each with independent Swiss mechanical movements, available, of course, in a choice of the Brembo colours of red, black, yellow and silver.

Due to the carbon ceramic materials used, the finished product looks to be a light, strong, stylish addition to the wrist. And when people say, “time is money”, these watchmakers are not kidding. One of these luxe statement pieces will set the wearer back a cool USD$15,500.

2nd time in a few months. Think I got to fly next time.

juz one @ a spot I knew I would get but time was not on my side & the kool dude even told me 2 other spots. Not sure about being on camera though.

Well, not quite a slide. Went in straight with locked up tyres & watch helplessly as I zoomed in. The guy suddenly realised that we may kiss then pulled back, I swung right & left to clear his butt & tail broke off. Went diagonal for few metres & recovered in time for a straight line to pass a group of cars. They must be thinking WTF just happened. Bloody lucky.... always hold your steering with 2 hands & I'm glad that I always pray for a blessed journey.

    As in Audemars Piguet? :)

Try not to sit in with irresponsible drivers speeding on public roads, definitely a no no.

There is nothing cool or happening with sliding at 100km/h or 200km/h on public road, this kind of incidences dun get no sympathy from ole KDK

Has the price really dropped a lot... like Citi shares? :)

Actually I'm not sure if I'm ready for AP... but it's very tempting. Since you're the expert on AP, what would you recommend as starter?

hmmmm there are too many... depending on budget. So I think thats a good starting point. Starting price would be around 17k for a basic used Royal Oak Offshore.

Actually that's what I have in mind as well... except that I'm not sure it's an everyday watch since I work in a chor-lor (Hokkien) environment.

Yes you are right, Ferrari SPA is taking back the rights and is going to be importing the car in themselves and letting HSM be a reseller here,

    This is what I heard!!!

STOMPer Hua La Li spotted an accident between a Ferrari and a Hyundai Trajet MPV along the AYE towards Tuas near the Normanton Park exit today (Apr 29).

In an email to STOMP, the STOMPer wrote:

“It occurred at around 12:10pm today.

“Fortunately, no one was injured. But I am sure someone's pocket is going to hurt!”

I must have only just missed it as I left the city at midday enroute to HSM, so must have been in that vacinity 12.10ish I guess. The front end looks like a bit of a mess & I'm told the doors dont open, suggesting there is possible structural damage .. but most importantly noone was injured.

Hmm yup it's a CS .. and only two black ones in Singapore .. well maybe only one now! :(

Oh I see. Not surprising, in the last couple of years there's been so many changes to the representatives around the world. I guess they want representatives whom are easier to control.......

it's being discussed but there have been no announcements as yet .. so .. no it isnt true at the moment.

I'm also told the decision is as much HSM's as it is Ferrari Spa's, as HSM may decide to walk away themselves with or without a push.
