Dumb question, but what are the stops all about??? I'm in Dallas and it says 16:00 to 9:30. So is 16:00 when they start arriving? And I assume they all park in that parking location listed. Are we allowed to go and check out all the cars or is there a barrier? Thanks, and sorry for the newbie questions. Just really excited, have always wanted to see this! Zach

The 2009 Gumball 3000 will be leaving from Los Angeles on Saturday 2nd May. But on the day before, Friday 1st May, we're holding the mother of all parties, in fact were holding three! SUPERCAR DISPLAY NOON PARKING LOT 1550, NEXT TO SANTA MONICA PIER First up, from midday on Friday 1st May were staging a Supercar Display in parking lot 1550 next to Santa Monica Pier, where well be parading the 100+ vehicles taking place in this years rally. Theyll be everything from drophead Rolls Royces, classic Cadillacs and more Ferraris than you can shake a dipstick at. Not to mention a vintage De Tomaso Pantera and a bunch of Bugatti Veyrons. FREE CONCERT 7PM THIRD STREET PROMENADE, SANTA MONICA Head inland later in the day to Santa Monicas Third Street Promenade where were staging a free concert from 7pm onwards. Appearing live will be LA based rap duo U-N-I, Cypress Hills DJ Muggs and Gumball favourites, The Cuban Brothers. U-N-I (on stage 7pm) were named Best Breakout LA Artist at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards and were cited by industry bible, Billboard, as an act to watch. Their life-affirming rhymes revolve around everything from limited-edition sneakers to cosmic existentialism and they apparently have an eye for the larger lady. Click here for U-N-I website >> DJ Muggs (on stage 8pm) is a founder member of Cypress Hill who to date have shifted in excess of 18 million albums. As well as being one of the creative forces behind House of Pain and Ice Cube, the DJ and producer who is also known as a serious re-mixer. If youre afraid of grown men in cat-suits (of whom one holds the world record for break dance head spins) then you might want to cover your eyes.
