    Texas!
All -- I'm looking for a refrigerator, ah, I mean a car. Here's what I'm looking for -- (1) 4 wheels, (2) a great A/C, (3) cheap, (4) great gas mileage (dont want no stinkin diesel), (5) a 6'2" fattie can fit into, (6) slush box, and, well, did I mention cheap?

Now that GM is going to deep six Pontiac, what is the ugliest car they make? Do they still make that Aztec thingie?

Remember, I'm thinking cheap, cheap, cheap.

Early 2000's Honda Civic. You can get a good one for less than $10k.

A scion xD fits the bill for everything except really cheap. I bought one last summer for around $17k out the door with tax. You can get better deals on the Nissan Versa. Usually they have one in white for $9990 plus tax, tag, and title, making the total out the door cost around $11,500 here.
    I'd try that first.

    Toyota Avalon...

Inexpensive, reliable, bland. If the interior aesthetics don't put you to sleep, the lack of driver involvement will. It will never break, it will get decent gas mileage, and the only envious looks you'll get will be from seniors no longer ambulatory who are remembering the "back in the day" when they had their Avalon.

Thanks for the replies. What about a late model Charger or 300? Haven't these things depreciated like keys out of a Lear jet?

Don't do it! With the base engines they are insanely underpowered, and the plastic in the interior feels like sand paper. Get something else, anything else.

I don't think they make a Charger or 300 with a slush box either?

I'm an idiot. For some reason, I had it in my mind that a slush box was a manual transmission yesterday. Disregard.

Find a '92-95 manual Honda Civic. Stone reliable, cheap to fix & insure, and over 40 mpg.

My father-in-law has over 350k on his '92.

Given the parameters, one car stands out, 2006 Mercury Milan 2.3. Maintains an Italian overtone ;).
