    A few evening spots:
    - white Bentley Arnage at the St. Regis.
    - red Ferrari 512TR on dealer plates at the Intercontinental.
    - black Rolls-Royce Phantom on dealer plates at the Westin Buckhead.

The valet was having a tough time backing the 512TR into a spot at the Intercontinental. I couldn't help but think about asking him to let me do it! After working at Ferrari of Denver, I've almost certainly driven more Testarossas than any Buckhead valet, and I've got that damn heavy clutch just about mastered, especially at low speeds!

By the way, the white DB9 Volante at the Westin Buckhead is a dealer display.

Today I saw my first Corvette ZR-1, saw it first on 85 south and finally got up close enough to get a picture on Chamblee Tucker Rd. This car sounded amazing and the driver kept getting on it pretty hard which was a nice treat for us (myself and Exoticspotter). My only spot in Buckhead today was a black Phantom at the Mansion.

One other picture for today was taken a few days ago by Exoticspotter, a 430 Scuderia on dealer plates and his Repsol Honda bike off of Roswell Rd.

By the way, Andrew, great ZR1 spot! Glad you caught it. Was it easy to notice that it was a ZR1 and not a standard Corvette?

All of the Chevrolet stores will be allocated a new Camaro for demo drives all this week. I am on the list for a V8 model and today a friend of mine called me and asked if I would like to drive a V6 version. I did take the drive west to Thornton Chevrolet in Lithia Springs and had the chance to put it through its paces. I believe it will be a hit. It has only wetted my appetite for the V8 that I will not leave stock when I get my hands on it. If you get the chance to visit a nearby store its worth the drive. Enjoy the pics. West

The sound really gave it away at first, it actually scared us a bit as we were getting onto the highway, and Exoticspotter pointed out that it was the ZR1 before I even saw it. I have had a few false alarms with the ZR1 in Buckhead though because it's hard to tell without seeing the side of the car. I really like the car, and the sound is amazing, but I don't think the styling does enough to set it apart from the rest of the Corvettes.

Here are a few spots from today...

Gallardo on Texas plates in valet at Lenox
Phantom also on Texas plates in front of Neiman Marcus at Lenox
    Continental at St. Regis
DB9 at Bones Restaurant on Piedmont

Agreed. For me the giveaway was the big chrome wheels. And I too have had many false alarms, including one last night where I was sure there was a ZR1 at that restaurant where we saw the Tesla. Turned out just to be a modified Z06. Not the first time that's happened and it certainly won't be the last.

Very cool West - thanks for sharing! How did it drive??

    My spots from yesterday:
    - goldish Aston-Martin DB9 at Bone's on Piedmont.
    - dark blue Bentley Arnage on California 'manufacturer' plates on Peachtree at West Wesley Road.
    - black Bentley Continental on Honorary Consul plates at the St. Regis.
    - white Lamborghini Gallardo on Texas plates at Lenox Mall.
    - black Rolls-Royce Phantom on Texas plates at the Mansion valet.

My sighting of the day, though, was a light brown Rolls-Royce Phantom on Florida plates in the drive-thru at Chick-fil-A on Piedmont at Sidney Marcus. Here's another angle, and here's another. Not a sight you see every day!

Hi Doug, I hope you take the ride to Carl Black Chevrolet on Wednesday to view the car. It has a design that I believe starts the want process and knowing that it has the capabilities to have CTS-V or ZR1 horsepower (600 plus)... It makes for a real street performer. I would not trade my GT-R for it though. I know the target age is the low 20's and the V6 price is the perfect marriage for the performance. Chevy will sell them. ........I am glad your sticking around this summer. I believe it will be a huge spotters summer. You should be proud of this thread, you raised the bar and continue to lead the charge. West

Your amazing statistics and break downs of cars you've seen over the years is THE reason I visit the Atlanta Spotter's Thread. (Well, that and the amazing pictures.) I'm an absolute sucker for statistics laid out like that. I do the same thing as you, except not nearly as detailed or as organized as you. I just have a text document, with every single exotic I've spotted, the color, and where I saw it. (And also any special notes, such as if it was a street spotting, at a dealership, etc.)

Your numbers are much more impressive than mine, obviously, because I live in rural Kentucky. Luckily my girlfriend lives in Central Florida so any exotics I spot usually comes from there. For example, I've only got 6 F430s under my belt, as compared to your what, like 75 or something? I've also seen 6 Gallardos.

I still count Continental GTs though, since I don't see nearly as many of them as you. There's 14 (1 silver, 1 white, the rest black!) that I can remember (NOT counting dealerships), and I started my list long after I had started seeing them, so I know I'm missing a few. Another stat: I've only seen 6 Bentleys in my life. I think you see that on a daily basis! I've seen only 23 Ferraris total (counting showroom floors), 10 Lamborghinis, and 7 Aston Martins.

I really really need to make the 6 hour drive to spend a few days in Atlanta. Just spotting cars would be well worth my trip.

So, just thought I'd let you know some of my stats. Thanks for reading. :)

    Lots of cars out today!

-NSX in general parking at Lenox
-Texas plated Gallardo through the hole at the Mansion
    -360 Spyder at Lenox
-black Phantom parked in the fire lane at Lenox, it was joined by a silver one a few minutes later
-Viper GTS and 430 Spyder both parked at Hal's behind Tin Lizzy's
-360 Modena driving down Peachtree, I was beside this car for about 5 miles and this was sadly the best picture I got of it
    -550 at Divan on Piedmont

Good to hear. The design is very interesting. I like how they went retro but not totally so, a departure from the Challenger. I'll be interested to hear about how you like yours when you take delivery. I decided not to come up to Carl Black today. I'm on only a few hours' sleep and had a final (thankfully, my last) this morning. After this post I'm going back to sleep!

Thanks, but it's by no means all me anymore! Between Andrew (ZonderF), you, and the occasional other poster, I believe that we have the best spotters' thread on this site, which is saying a lot considering some geographical locations. It's a great hobby and I'm glad we all enjoy sharing it!

Thanks! I love the statistics of it myself and it has (surprisingly) become one of the most fun parts about the hobby, to me. Originally the biggest thrill was seeing the cars but after you see the number of exotic cars that I (and assuredly Andrew, and others) have seen, it becomes a bigger thrill finding them, documenting which ones are new, noticing patterns, and, to me, keeping those statistics. You have a PM, by the way!

And now for the sightings from yesterday:
    - green Aston-Martin DB7 Vantage Volante in a driveway on busy Rock Springs Road just before rush hour.
    - black Aston-Martin V8 Vantage on temporary plates on Piedmont turning on to Roswell Road. This is the first updated V8 Vantage I've seen.
    - white Aston-Martin V8 Vantage Roadster at St. Regis valet.
    - black BMW Z8 on Lenox Road crossing Peachtree.
    - black Dodge Viper GTS with vanity plate COPTER in valet at Hal's.
    - red Ferrari 360 Modena on BlazeSports plates at a restaurant on Peachtree at Rumson Road. Here's a slightly different angle.
    - yellow Ferrari 360 Spider in valet at Lenox Mall, and then later in general parking at Phipps Plaza.
    - red Ferrari 550 Maranello on dealer plates at Lenox and Peachtree.
    - red Ferrari F430 Spider in valet at Hal's.
    - white Lamborghini Gallardo on Texas plates at the Mansion valet.
    - black Rolls-Royce Phantom parked at Lenox Mall.
    - gold Rolls-Royce Phantom on Florida plates turning from Peachtree into Lenox Mall.

The clear highlight of the day, though, was a red Lamborghini Countach on wildlife plates on Paces Ferry Place near the intersection of West Paces, Peachtree and Roswell Road, and then later at a liquor store near Piedmont and Lindbergh. I have seen this car several times now but never before parked except briefly at a gas station; I was able to get some cool angles (another), taking advantage of it finally being stationary.

    A few recent sightings:

    Wednesday May 6:
    - black Porsche 911 GT3 [997] on display from Jim Ellis along with another Porsche at New York Prime valet.

    Thursday May 7:
    - gray Audi R8 in a parking lot off East Paces Ferry near Capital Grill.
    - gray Ferrari F430 Spider on New Jersey plates on Peachtree over GA-400.
    - black Maybach 57 at the Intercontinental.

Also, how's this for a rare sight: a former Prisoner of War license plate! I didn't even know those existed, and there can't be too many of them...

My only spot for the day was a yellow Lamborghini LP640 on a flatbed on Roswell Rd, most likely out on a delivery from Lamborghini of Atlanta. We were driving in different directions which is why the picture came out kinda blurry.

Not an Atlanta spot but, my wife and I were in New Orleans when the Gumball 3000 guys came in. I took a lot of pictures of "everyday" exotics, but missed the Bugatti Veyron. I did meet Maximillion Cooper and took pictures of his XJ220.

I'm not sure I'd be more excited to see an XJ220 than a Veyron, but definitely damn close. That's one you can't reasonably expect to see - ever! Thanks for the post, ziffen. :)

    Spots from last night:
    - goldish Aston-Martin DB9 at Hal's.
    - black Aston-Martin DB9 Volante in the Blockbuster parking lot on Old Ivy and Roswell Road.
    - black Aston-Martin V8 Vantage in a parking lot next to Atlanta Fish Market.
    - white Bentley Arnage at the Mansion valet; later it moved over to Chops. Here's a shot of it with a Ferrari 599 GTB in the background.
    - silver Bentley Azure (the old style) at Phipps Plaza valet.
    - black Bentley Flying Spur Speed on temporary plates in the Walgreens parking lot on Blackland and Roswell Road.
    - red Ferrari 360 Modena on Georgia Tech plates at Bone's.
    - black Ferrari 360 Spider on Piedmont and Roswell Road.
    - black Ferrari 599 GTB on California plates at Chops.
    - dark blue Ferrari F355 Spider at the St. Regis.
    - red Ferrari F430 on Montana plates at the St. Regis.
    - red Ferrari F430 at the restaurant on Phipps Drive at Lenox Road; then later at Hal's.
    - red Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder on vanity plate RYN KNG at Aria on East Paces Ferry.
    - silver Panoz Esperante at Capital Grill.
    - white Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead leaving Atlantic Station.

Also, a shot of the new Chevrolet Camaro on the road at Lenox Mall! This one was on Tennessee temporary plates and the driver was very excited to see me taking a picture. I have a feeling he'll get used to it!

Furthermore, after last night, I have now seen an exotic car every day in the last month. I have seen at least one exotic car on the road every day since April 8. That's about double the length of my longest-ever streak, and it's not over yet. What a great month it's been!

The Veyron is nice, powerful and expensive but the Jag is something that I have lusted after for years and years. I know that the Veyron is probably more appealing to the masses but there is a personal connection with the Jag.

And congrats on the string of spots. I always enjoy the shots.
