It is cuirrently owned by a guy in NY. It is the ONLY USA Green 6.0 made. Crrently at STeves shop getting a full service Major...that car is STUNNING in person.. www.drivenexotics.com
I don't want to really open a can of worms here...BUT...How many times are you going to fall on this excuse Rick? If you don't know, use the internet, make some calls...there's enough people to gather that information from in the community and CERTAINLY enough people that can tell you about this cars history. Or is this another "flawless and prestine" example...By the way, one of our customers flew up and looked at this car two weeks ago, he's a FANATIC PERFECTIONIST who bought our 95 Diablo VT (Which is prestine)...All I can say is do your homework and represent correctly on this one...the SE30 market is MUCH, MUCH smaller than the 6.0 market and the owners of these cars keep a running database of them. That will end my rant, add my two cents, and stop any perceptions of a hijacked thread.
The interior is not factory, and is not factory alcantara. I knew the second owner on #9 when it was in Austin, the guy he sold it to did the alcantara interior. The first two owners wrecked it and I think the 3rd one did too. First was rear end damage, spun around and was apparently stopped by a telephone pole into the rear. Second was a power slide into a high curb on the passenger side. -J
Quite a glowing description......this #9 car is well known and has been wrecked several times and has a real bad history, but I guess all that is reflected in the asking price...........good luck with the sale. I hope someone buys it and drives the shiiiit out of it because it has way too much bad history to be a key part of any collection imo. But I bet for the price someone can drive the crap out of it and not feel bad about wearing it out. It is kind of like a used up whore...you can call her a pretty, 'stunning' girl, but all she's good for is a good thrashing if you know what I mean....she'll never be good for anything else.
OK OK...Rick and Kevin...STOP now...I do not need another he said they said war.. It is your car, it is your company you represent.... sell it the way you want.. Roy L. Cats President Cats Exotics
Vic: I too have a story of having crossed paths with this fair lady. But that was MANY years ago whilst vacationing with my family on the Hawaiian Islands. I couldn't leave well enough alone and just relax with my family, so I snuck off for an afternoon rendezvous with this viola temptress. Please bear in mind, that this was well before she had endured several nasty divorces, and much plastic surgery. Having said that, even then I noticed that she had a distinctly 'weathered' patina for such a young maiden, sort of like a girl who likes to really have a good time - if you know what I mean. Of course, our encounter was all-too-brief, and I was unable to 'take her for a ride', so I followed her fortunes when she moved over to the USA, always recalling how I had almost fallen for her fair graces all those years ago. Sadly, news was not always good though, and last I heard she had taken a really nasty fall down a steep flight of stairs and is now held together by well-placed screws and the miracle of surgery! Although she has seen her better days and is well past her prime, I bet for a not-so-expensive price, this purple gal can still show you a good time though! Respectfully Submitted, Joe
I'll have a local Lambo expert go over this car and make sure everything is in order. The carfax is clean and I'll pass on to any perspective buyer that although the carfax is clean. The car is rumored to have been repaired.
As you know carfax/autocheck is not very accurate....lots of errors of omission, and few errors of disclosure. Just because a whore tells you she's only been with a couple guys doesn't make it so. Please tell your customers who are intersted in the car to call me if they want some factual information. I looked at buying this car when I first saw it in September or October 1998 at Ray Grimm's place at the San Diego Lambo Club event. It was there being sold by Symbolic in La Jolla, I believe. They had it parked at Ray's. It looked good from five feet, but crawling under and in and around it I could tell it was hit from behind and given a 'quickie sale' repair. I later learned it was backed into a pole. The repairs were poor to a trained eye, and included bent chassis tubes. I guess that was the first time it was crashed, by a dot-com kid who lost control of it and then traded it in. So, now you have one guy who is an SE30 expert who can state unequivocably that it was crashed as I saw the evidence with my own eyes and hands. Maybe you should ask questions on this forum about Lambos before you take them into inventory or try to sell them. I sound like you can learn a lot more about what you are getting yourself into on some of these cars by coming online and asking the Lambo enthusiasts what they know about a car before you get into another embarassing situation as a dealer.
I'll dont know you and have never dealt with you. I have no idea what your agenda is here. I learnt from my last war and wont be sucked into that again. I'm in the car business for fun. I don't make my living off it. I have been an owner of Ferrari for many years and am known by all the San Diego dealers and independents for Ferrari, Lambo. If you have any question about my integrity, honesty etc. Check around.
I understood while the car was listed for sale (years ago), at the dealer in Hawaii, it had a problem with the computer. Most likely, it was fixed a few years ago. The p.o., has spoken about this car on L-Power - use the search function. si, Carfax makes mistakes !
Just having a bit of fun! Look, ANY Diablo SE30 deserves a good home, and I think you've got it priced fairly...
FYI Rick...I have a set of OEM 1994 SE30 exhaust tips if you are intrested...AND yes they are different then the standard exhaust tips on other early Diablo cars.
Thanks. I have been buying used Lambo parts, tools, books lately to make some cars right. I'll start checking with you when I need stuff.
It's no rumor, I had FIRST HAND experience with the owner in Austin, he took it into a tall curb, bent stuff including the wheels and control arm. He bought it from Symbolic who told me on the phone (prior to sale of my friend in Austin) of the crash damage on its rear necessitating the replacement of the catalysts and bumper, wing, I was a prospective buyer for it back in '99 so that's why I had that call with them. -J
