    A very good friend of mine & my family passed away today. Poodie Locke had a heart attack and died about an hour ago. Poodie was Willie Nelson's road manager and has been close friends with my dad for the past 30 years. He was one of the nicest, most generous people that I have ever met and he was very good to my family. He was my dad's best friend and his boss. I'm not sure his exact age but he's younger than my dad so it was a real shock to all of us. He was a large man but we thought he was pretty healthy. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family and friends. He impacted so many lives and he will be greatly missed.

    He passed away at his condo in Spicewood, TX. His girlfriend Shaye and his mother "Mamma Locke" were there when he collapsed. After talking to my dad yesterday, I found out that Poodie went to the hospital last week and they wanted him to stay overnight and take some tests but he decided not to. So he did have some warning but unfortunately he didn't take it very serious.

    For those that are interested, Poodie's Hilltop will remain open. Stop by and check out the place if you are ever in the area. You never know who you'll bump into while you are there.
