I know exotics have taken a big hit, but it seems cs prices have been much more stable than 430 or Gallardo prices. What have you guys seen and whats a good price right now for a good, recently serviced car?
just saw a new low range - 140's for two of them at FOA. High end I've seen lately is high 170's. R u buying or selling?
It seemingly has a way of doing that to you. Just some take longer then others. Took me just a month to miss and replace is.
$170,000 to $200,000. You might be able to find a thrashed on for $140,000, but you get what you pay for. Bob
The low miles ones are being advertized in the 170's-180's but they are just sitting. Then you have the out of touch Ferrari dealers who still think its 2006 and have low mile ones on for 190's-200's obviously in no hurry to move them, itself interesting in this environment. The same cars are on the market now for the last 6-12 months without selling. I would be inclined to pay 150-160tops for these low miles cars but sellers seem to be stuck on 6-12months months ago prices. The $150k cars are 10k miles plus and generally less desirable cars without stripe or with non-alacantra interior or lack of options. There was a 20% premium on 04 CS over an 04 regular 360. I see no reason why that spread should have increased recently..doesnt make sense.
Why wouldn't that make sense? One is a regular production car, and the other is a legitimately special edition. By that logic, the 03 Enzo carried a 3X premium over the 03 575M... should that remain consistent to this day?
you cant compare an Enzo to a 575m. There is no price relationship between these different product offerings. The 04 CS to 04 360 is a fairer comparisson. The 04 CS had a 20% premium over a new 04 regular 360. I use the 20% premium as a guide to where I think todays market on a simlar mileage CS should be. Not saying its perfect but it is something to use.
Appears that local Challenge Stradale are selling in the 170-180 range, including cars from by our local dealer's inventory. The market is clearly down 15% over the past 18-24 months and you actually SEE cars in inventory for a few days/weeks before they are bought. 2008 might have seen dealers trying to prop-up the market by keeping prices artificially high, but in 2009 they are buying wholesale at horrifyingly low prices and moving the cars to keep cash flowing. Maybe there is denial of the market on the East coast, but I'm not seeing any denial from Western dealers anymore!
Well Ferrari of Seattle have a low miler for 204k right now...if thats not denial I dont know what is.
Stradales have definitely softened (like everything else) but I think the "softening" is leveling out. My guess at current market values would probably be as follows: 1) Up to 5k miles - $175,000 to $190,000 2) Around 7.5k miles - $165,000 to $175,000 3) Around 10k miles - $155,000 to $165,000 4) Around 15k miles - $145,000 to $155,000 5) 20k miles or more - $130,000 - $140,000
Selling in the 170-180 range is not the same as the (fishing for a sucker looking to cash his AIG bonus check) asking price on a dealer's web site. Offer them $180K and that 1400 mile car would probably be on a truck headed to your home.
My pristine scud red/red blk alcantara with 7105 mi,fact stripe, extinguisher and radio, new p zero corsas,3M clear bra ,skid plates is for sale at asking $177,500 negotiable. M Weiner,M.D. 503-635-2595 (portland,Or)
Just so you know - if you happen to buy Modenafan's CS - you would be getting a pristine example of a car regardless of miles.
nope i've tried...........it's not FoS it's a consignment car. They also have a guy asking 375k for his Scuderia lol These CS's are just sitting. They aren't selling. Most of them are in the 170's and 180's asking. If you look at them they have all been for sale for a very long time. One up here in the nw has been on the market 16 months at 190k. I think it's finally dropped to 184k. Still it's a 12k car that should be in the 160's. fact of the matter is most CS owners don't care if they sell right away. it's just reality. Most CS's are 4th and 5th cars in a Stable and they care about them dearly. I'd say realisticly the market is about 10% high on asking prices.
