****DONT READ IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH****

here is a step by step.

So last we (the 29th) I was fine and running around without a care in the world.
that all turned around within one hour.
    4/29/09--Wen. @ 3pm
I started to get stomach ache, then a head ache and really nauseous.
I asked to go home (good thing)
By 4.30pm I started to throw up and could not stop.
I even threw up blood once.
so after that ^^^ and having MAD!!! water diarrhea for like 4 hours
I go MADDDDD dehydrated and got very bad leg and arm cramps and became very weak.

my mom and dad got home and came upstairs and saw my on the floor in pain and called the Dr.
he said "get to the ER now"

Some how I got in the car and went to the ER.
They put a IV in me and did some X-rays and test..
4 IV's and 3 hours later at 11pm that night I was admitted to the hospital...
I was SOO cold and could not control my shaking till about 2am.

the next day (thurs) I saw like 7+ Doc's and more blood test.
that night they told me I had a infection.
Friday (more blood test) and they said I was good to go if I wanted and told me what to eat and to go see my own Dr. in 5 days (which I did)

So ok now we are up to speed.
Yesterday I went to the Doc and did more blood test and other "crappy" test to see if I was fine.
they also wanted me to do a ultrasound for my kidneys the next day.
Today I went back and did the ultrasound and dropped off the "crappy" stuff for them.

And now to learn what happend to me.

They dont know where the Infection came from but it caused me to get dehydrated.
My White blood cell count was at 18,000 (should be 4,500-10,000)
I had kidney failure that was caused by acute dehydratation.
they also found a kidney stone in my right side.

so now I'm just waiting to have my test back... 5 more days.

WASH your hands, dont eat crap, and stay healthy guys.
we still dont know where it came from.

BTW it is in no way the H1N1 so dont say that. lol

Wow, you avoided a major illness there Dave. If you have a kidney stone you need to be drinking LOTS of water. LOTS! Glad you're ok now.

Dave, this was no reason to miss the SSF dinner tonight! The things some people go through to find an excuse to not hang out with friends, what's up with that?;)
Hope you are feeling back to your old (young) self. Get back to 100% as soon as you can! And remember, don't drink the water, I mean the bad stuff. Be good!

Very glad to hear you are doing better. I gave up drinking soda a few years ago and rarely do I drink anything other than water. I only have soda on airplanes, LOL! By the way, I don't get why some people don't wash their hands. They think it builds their immune system or something? I understand that logic for children who are building their immune system, but not adults that have already been exposed to it much earlier in life...makes no sense to me.

Are they going to take the kidney stone out or wait to see it it passes?

I had the similar thing about 20 years ago. Felt like I pulled a muscle in my back, went to work, starting throwing up, and they took me to the hospital down the street.
The kidney stone was on my right side and the pain was radiating to my stomach making me puke.

I lucked out and the stone passed. Back then they had to stick a tube through your penis to get to the stone to remove it!
Now they use ultrasound to break them up.

You are right about drinking a lot of water, you need to keep fluids moving through your body. About 5 years ago I thought I was having another kidney stone attack, my side was killing me and keep throwing up and couldnt move. I went to the hospital andd was sufferring from severe dehydration. 2 bottles of fluid later, I was fine.

FYI If you are feeling dizzy and getting a headache it might also be a sign of dehyrdration.

I know your pain. Just passed mine after having laser litho last week. 5mm x 10 mm! First Dr. was a joke! He lied to me after first litho. saying he got it all, but 5 weeks after he " got it all " got very ill again, and ordered my own CT only to find stone same size and same place! 12 weeks after initial dx, 2 different Dr., pain, etc. finally rid of that thing by second Dr. . Second urologist did what the first did not in 1/2 day. Could have lost the kidney.
