Thanks guys. I'll see how this Sunday works out, but being mother's day and the weather looking iffy, it may be a different Sunday. You'll have to excuse the condition of "Indigo", she's 7+ years old and has been driven more than babied. I think the previous owner let her bake in the Florida sun on a daily basis. I intend to do a complete reconditioning, but just can't find the time lately.

My wife is an amateur photographer (actually both of us are, but she's got the nicer camera.) She'd like to know if it'd be okay to take pictures.

Phil, do you shoot down 91, or take the backroads? Given the choice, we like to cruise the scenic route when driving the M with the top down. By the way, where in Agawam do you work?

Regarding speeding, burnouts, demo derbies, etc: My tagline over on M3Forum is "Drives like a grandpa". But in all honesty, I usually drive in a, um... spirited fashion. Never reckless, just quickly. In comparison to the way others drive their M's, I probably do drive like a grandpa. As for a demo derby... I don't think I ever envisioned a bunch of Ferraris smacking into each other... only if Kimi and Massa are having a bad race.

Oh... on a side note, is there a way to change your user name here? I set up VisitEric a while ago to check out some photos (mashup of Visitor and Eric), but now that I think about it... it's a really stupid user name. Doh!

Pics are fine. I personally always have an excuse at the ready since palsy like hand shaking tends to produce uninspired shots. I leave my baby's photos to the pros.

To change your name, see one of the moderators or just start a new name and let the old die.

Hi Eric. My wife and I live in Enfield. Not sure with weather and Mother's Day if I'll be going this Sunday, but you are welcome to ride down with us anytime. Easy way to get rid of VisitEric and get new name is to do this. Go onto F-chat, Log on under old name of VisitEric, scroll all the way to bottom of threads bypassing New England and all others. Click on Contact us. In message box let web master know you want to change your name and tell them what your new name is. Old name will replaced with new one and you will retain all threads, posts, and info stored. Worked for me. Took about 24hrs. Good luck and look forward to meeting you and your wife.

Thanks! As you can see, I did that and within 20 minutes my user name was changed! Fast cars, fast admins! Now my user name reflects the content of my garage, while word-playing on the old German currency.

Anyway, I'm hoping the weather holds up nice on Sunday. I'm sick of the dreary weather we've had lately, and need a good day out to put a smile back on my face.

I'll be there! Had to make a deal with the wife. As long as the kids and I make her breakfast (meaning me) and I take her to a nice Sushi lunch I'm good between 8:30 and 11:30 ;). I think it will be a great morning.

The 308 is running great. It still has a small oil leak, but nothing that would keep the car off the road. I had it out yesterday and was planning on bringing it today until the wife got sick. I did find a replacement oil pan and it is on its way from a Ferrari salvage yard in CA. The TR should be ready to roll for next weekend assuming they don't send me the wrong parts again.

    I'll be back next week.

    Joe,
I hope your wife feels better and look forward to seeing you soon. Go rent her some movies, get some ginger ale and crackers, and stay just far enough away that you don't catch it.
    Take care

Darn it! I'm not going to be able to make it to this week's demolition derby. Weather is just a bit too overcast and chilly to make for enjoyable top-down driving. But more importantly, I have some yard and gardening chores that desperately need doing. I'm hoping to make it next Sunday.

    Hey guys, I joined!

This is Brendan, with the Subaru. Nice meeting you all, I had a good time and I'm glad I came out. Hopefully I can make it again soon.

P.S - The onramp on the way home with Craig, and the black Ferrari (I forget names quickly), I had to pee really bad so, sorry about that haha. Being witnessed doing my annual missing of 4th was my payment for rushing but I'm sure you heard that, haha.

    Cheers!

What a great turn out today. 14 cars, 8 bikes. I truely was not expecting that, Mothers day and all. The same base crew and a few new faces. Anthony's Challenge Stradale was just superb. At one point we had 5 Nero's with no reds. Kinda strange for a Ferrari meeting.

Took the long way home through the Hopyard. A slow Ford Exploder prevented real fun but that road is so sweet, it really didn't matter.

Looking forward to next week already.

A great day!! I do love a Sunday ride with hardly anyone on the roads where I can do a little spirited riding ;)

I was on that bike early this morning and on the highway being blasted by the wind...so I was shivering the whole time once I got there, but I was offered a very very nice place to warm up in a black 360...thanks to Pete's dad :) once I sat in there, I forgot that I was even cold!

Hope everyone got home safe and sound and had a great rest of the weekend:)

It was great to see everyone today. Perfect weather for cruising there and back. The turbos loved it.

Thanks for the little road tour through the twisties, Lane. I wish you could have seen the looks on the faces of those fisherman right after you went blasting through. I crested the hill just as they were gawking after you and then they turned and I was whizzing by follwed by Brendon. I could see them out of the corner of my eye as I went by with that "What the hell is that thing?" look on their faces. Too much fun! Hope we didn't scare the fish.:D

Guys, what a great time today. For all those that have not attended yet today was our first trip up and and these guys really made us feel at home. The boys really liked the "4 seater", Lane's 348 and craig's wheels (craig I personally like the whole car!). A beautiful set of cars on a near perfect day. I really enjoyed seeing Pete sr.'s 6spd in that goregous 360, uncommon and a 360 manual is a favorite of mine to drive. I look forward to seeing you guys again soon and until then be well. Thanks again for all the hospitality!
