Can someone recommend a good shop for a PPI in Toronto? It seems there is a bit of a wait at the official dealership... Thanks!

Yeah, usually more Ferrari's in their service dept than FoO at any given time plus Lambo's, Bentleys, Aston Martins, Porsches along with Porsche and Ferrari race cars.

    Thanks guys!

Unfortunately the car looks like it has some kind of lien on it, maybe. Does anybody know about a 2005 F430 Red/Nero F1 Coupe VIN: ZFFEW58A050142551 ? Canadian car sold through FoO. It was going for a pretty good price for a car with 20,000 km. The lien record came up on a carproof check. Makes my spidey sense tingle!

Could be leased or financed, all you need is a lien release from the lien holder. Most cars today have liens on them, if its a leased car it has a lien

thats not what you should be worrying about what you should be worrying about is paying the RIDICULOUS Ferrari mark up for buying a car from them, trust me NO 430 is worth $20-50,000 more because it's in their showroom!!!!

also when a car has a lein on it there is absolutely NO reason to not buy the car AS LONG as the lein will be removed, all the ministry of transportation requires is a letter from the lein holder stating they no longer have an interest in XXXX vehicle.

I totally agree with you James on this. This is how they screw us when they just use a company name to gouge us with ridiculous prices in the Canadian market compared to other regions. I guess this is the Canadian way of life being screwed easily when oil companies do the same at gas stations.

I bought a truck with a lien on it about 10 years ago. The guy just signed over the ownership for $0 and I took the truck and went and paid the bank the balance which was the exact sale amount. Nothing wrong with buying a car with a lien as long as you know the amount.

B-Mak do you know any insurance company that will insure me just for a day at the track? I don't know if my insurance company will cover me for the track day at Mosport on the 21st of May and it would be nice to have coverage.

There are quite a few race-specific insurance products, but I've never heard of any track-day-only coverage.

Last year, a friend indicated that he had specific coverage with his auto policy from Chubb.

Regardless, don't take anything on track that you aren't willing to leave there.
