Hello boys Been away for a while - I come back and see that little has changed here... Went off to Maranello Concessionaires service dept tonight for a California unveiling. I suggested that they should leave the cloth on it and just tell people that it's a wonderful thing and please sign here for it... Didn't take camera as I was running late, but the workshop had a lot of stuff in it. A number of 430s & 360s about - a couple having clutch changes. Two Enzos - one silver and one in *** packet orange. The Silver one was having a clutch change too. Three F40s, a couple of racing 360 things (not NGT or anything like that, just challenge spec I think), a couple of 599s & 612s, a nice looking 308GTB QV in a silverly blue colour and a short nose two cam 275GTB, my favourite by far. There were various V8s of 355 onwards parked out the back amongst the Maseratis too. Also a new Ford Focus RS which looks very serious with lots of wings, vents, spoilers etc etc. Have a look at some pics from a visit a couple of weeks ago when we had a look at the Classic Parts section: http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/bootie.boot/MaranelloClassicPartsVisit# Seen a few Californias now and I find it hard to get excited about them. Kelly's SL55 is a similar concept and a much more resolved shape and design. At least the interior of the California seems to have joined the 21st century compared to most of the rest of the recent Fcars. Finally waiting for the DVLA to stop stuffing around so that we can get the 365GT and Alfa out of the customs bond store! They only do their inspections on Mondays and you need to book at least a week ahead to get a place in the queue. What a great system...
Mmm. That azzuro and white 328 looks very nice, indeed. Beurocrats make nothing easy eh? Good luck with freeing your cars.
Cool pics mate! Love that 328 also! Looks lovely in that colour. Those classic parts pics are fantastic!! I bet they have some good gear in there.
i would say a lot has changed. aircon for some unknown reason has straightened up a lot and isn't bellowing the usual tripe
I was in Melbourne CBD on the weekend and spotted red 328 GTS and yellow 355 GTB (number plate HIS 355) at different times.. both nice and drew looks following their progress.
I think HIS 355 was that really nice car for sale the other day online for $139K. I looked VERY VERY nice in the pics on Carpoint. I assume it has sold since its not on there for sale anymore.
Nice clean car in person, great sound.. (assume) interior/engine similar standard. a steal at $139K.. where's a big bag of gold coin just lying around when you need it!
That would have been a first! Yeah, interior etc..was very clean in the pics. As was the car. A 6 speed with black interior. VERY yummy. Who knows what the final sold price was Alex? Assuming it has sold, the new owner may have knocked them down another $10K+ for all we know.
