Okay, Here goes......What makes you think I give a frog's fat arse what a 17 year old's opinion on anything is?

If you just said ask me anything I think it would have been more interesting. As a person you would be able to enter into a debate, as a 17 year old you already know everything.

Wow, I just re-read that and you didn't deserve that. I just got done replying to a political oriented thread and I was pretty fired up.

    Let me start again.

    What is your favorite movie?

I am 18 but I feel qualified enough to answer these. I am sure everyone is just dying for answers. :D

    Business Marketing

    Yes, and I hate it.

Yes, I can enjoy maybe 40% of what is out there today, go back to the 60s/70s and I am sure not everything was a winner. We only listen to the very best of that time now so in 30 years we will only listen to the best of what is out now, and I bet you can find 10 songs that you like that came out this year.

Casino, got to love Scorsese, and I used to live next to the Tony Roma's where the real "ace" was almost killed.

Consider driving to the store at midnight on a tuesday. :)

Do you plan to go to college? If not, change your plans. Go to college. The school of hard knocks SUCKS.

Don't know what to major in? Major in something fun. Many employers don't care what your major was. College is (1) a prerequisite for many jobs/promotions (2) a demonstration that you can get your sh*t together and work towards a goal...along with all the hurdles you have to jump to make it to that goal.

OK, it wasn't really a question.

How do you feel about us old folks sticking you with insurmountable debt; debt so high it will either bankrupt the country, debase the dollar or in other ways ruin any chance you have for a good life?

    Dear 'Ask a 17 year-old',

My twin nephew and niece are 16 and I have a few questions I hope you can help me with:

    1) Every time they take a photograph with their friends, they all flash that sideways peace sign. If it's a full-body shot, it usually requires the feet to be spread as far apart as possible. Should I be concerned that they've joined some white suburban gang that prowls the mean streets of Nordstrom's and Starbuck's? We've taken to referring to this pose affectionately as the 'A$$clown' pose.

    2) They seem to exist in a world of text messaging. A typical conversation looks like this:

    "wzz upppp?"
    "ur gayyyyyy"

Should I appreciate their interest in conservation? (In this case, their pet cause seems to be 'Save the Vowels'. But I would think their over use of word-ending consonants would offset any vowel savings realized earlier on in the message.) Or should I once again be concerned for them and what poses to be an interesting adventure in the exploits of job hunting.

    3) I went to the grocery store the other day, and as I was parking I noticed a car full of teens getting out of their car and immediately flipping up the hoods on their pullovers (I have since learned that these are called 'hoodies'...whoa!). Instinctively, I grabbed for my umbrella since it was apparently raining and chilly outside. Halfway into the store I remembered that it was 75 and sunny. Boy, did I feel embarrassed! So, with regard to the hoodie thing....wzz upppp?

Okay smarty pants....I just started talking to this girl, what are some questions I should bring up next time we talk that would help me to get to know her better and lead to no awkward pauses?

    Are you talking to MrCryBabySmartyPants?

    If so:

Tell her you think her older (younger) sister is sizzling hot.

There will be NO pause, awkward or other wise.

Name the top three traits you will absolutely require in a spouse, and the top three things that automatically disqualify her from consideration. Choose carefully, this decision is probably more important than your major or intelligence in determining the happiness and/or material wealth for your life.

Good one, it took some thought. Disqualifications came first: any drug use, really bad family life (not something she can really help but still very important), narcissist.
Requirements: a shred of intelligence, need for goals, loves to travel.

    My favorite line.

Ace Rothstein: [voice-over] No matter how big a guy might be, Nicky would take him on. You beat Nicky with fists, he comes back with a bat. You beat him with a knife, he comes back with a gun. And if you beat him with a gun, you better kill him, because he'll keep comin' back and back until one of you is dead.

By the way Chris, she's an accountant, is very active and likes to travel, and comes from albeit a divorced but good family.
