it was part of a Ferrari sponsored design competition back in 2006. here are the bunch. All a little too futuristic for my taste... Speed Racer meets Blade Runner... the one in the OP is "Ascari" and Ferrari deemed it one of the 4 winners. http://www.seriouswheels.com/cars/top-2005-Ferrari-Design-Competition.htm GT
Just read a current article that Frankfurt will not happen...apparently a huge backlog of 430's will delay release until ??. Makes sense in these times.
In october in frankfurt we'll see the new ferrari F450 (new version of f430);] But Your picture is totaly fake;D
Hi, i saw a first picture of what could be the new F450. Should be presented in September. Image Unavailable, Please Login
There is an easy way to figure out whether or not a photo is real or photoshopped. If Ferrari requests to have a paticular picture taken down, then it's probably authentic. If not..... well, it probably isn't the real thing.
Thats an unofficial photoshop though it does have a lot of styling cues from the spy pics we've seen. It also looks like a toyota celica
Ya. Photoshops based upon the R8 and re-arranged and re-arranged again. Those not in the know won't know what it looks like until the day Ferrari unveil it.
Not to get off-topic but Autospies is pretty much THE least credible news source. They regularly plagiarize others' reporting, claim it as their own, makes up news, fail to get what "exclusive" means, etc. They've also been escorted out of shows and reveals for impropriety, which I find hilarious. Anyway, I wouldn't be too sure this will be bigger than the 430. The Mille Chile concept could've been just hype but I think this will at least be lighter than the current product. Judging from the spyshots, it may have a slightly longer wheelbase and wider track but I don't think the overall dimensions are clear just yet.
I was hoping for a similar size car, with a higher nose, and definetely no turbos, or any kind of forced induction. What makes the 430 fantastic is that it's not too big, and the engine has the immediacy of a naturally aspirated. All car manufactures are going in one direction, heavy, very luxurious, comfortable car, with all kinds of electroic gizmos and civillised enough to use every day. Then, add hugely complicated (but very good) active air suspension to compensate for the car's heft, and be much faster than most cars through the corners, but not a hard to handle racer. A Fcar should be a raw, emotional driving experience, similar to that of a Porsche 911 GT3. If you want a car as described above, get a Mercedes Benz CL 63/65 AMG, fantastic cars in their own right, but not what all manufacturers should aspire to be.
The work on Ferrari F430 successor continues..... http://www.czechferrari.cz/clanek/ferrari-f142-new-spy-shots-1/12734/
The Enzo mule looked like a 348. The 430 mule looked like a 360 if I remember right. Ferrari(and most makes, actually) routinely uses an existing model to test new mechanicals.
That was the Enzo engine mule and some other stuff, but not the Enzo mule because the almost complete test mules have to look closely to the car as to test all that there is, including a big one, the aerodynamics and how will the real car perform on the track, street... The car is close to come out within the next months, so where is the prototype that resembles what the car will look like? Ferrari is really good as hiding those as we already know with past experiences, but clearly it can't be another 360, 430 reworked chassis.
Strange how the Website tries to expose the new cars design but obscures the photos with CZECHFERRARI so efficiently...
