Nice black Lambo LP-560 yesterday here in Maui!
Tavistock Crescent I move in the end of June. Of course I bought before I sold my other home. oh well. [email protected]
7500? I figured 40,000.00 Oh for my 900,000.00 It is only 1600sq ft, but I did get a new salt-water pool Ha, Ha, so there, put that in your hat and eat it.!!
Thanks to everyone that suggested Forza Motoring for a PPI. They were great to deal with. They also said the clutch on the prospective 2005 F430 F1 is at 30%. The car has 22,000 km and I was told this is normal wear but that it needs to be replaced. They estimated the cost at $7000. I would like to have a new clutch put in before I purchase the vehicle. The seller and I had informally agreed on a price over the phone. I will be flying to Toronto tomorrow to look at it over the weekend but am not sure about how to resolve the clutch issue. Who should pay? How much? Can anyone vouch for the quality of work if I get this done at Forza? Thanks a lot!
I can vouch for them. I have been dealing with them for about 15 years. I dropped by today - saw a bunch of 430's - a couple of spiders and a red coupe. Is it still there? Just missed Donnie's lambo - too bad - it left yesterday. Best to work the price out with a new clutch, either he pays for a new one or discounts so you can do it when and where you like. Call FoO and see what they charge - use that price for your negotiations, probably will be several thousands more. Good luck - keep us posted.
Congratulations on the successful run! - was it you that got a 160 mph police escort? I dropped in tonight but was a day late - wanted to see it finished - the car looks great in the pictures!
+1 A car like that should be offered "serviced up", meaning anything under minimum 50% should rectified... this goes for tires, brakes, clutches etc... I know it's hard to do when you're so close, but unless the car is something utterly special (doesn't sound like it), they either pay or I'd keep looking. Good luck!
I can and will vouch for them, not only did I work for the owner at his first garage as a kid delivering cars/parts for him but I now use Forza for pretty much all of my automotive needs unless it's a wiring issue and then theres only one guy for that(LEO)
Thanks for the replies so far. SHEMM: The red coupe was the car I was having inspected. What did you think? Prancing 12: The car is somewhat special because it has a nice plain black interior with no colored inserts or stitching. I'm a bit of a minimalist and this is pretty hard to find. Also, I'm getting married June 20th and would LOVE to have my car by then. Any other opinions? Should the dealer pay entirely for a new clutch? This is my first car purchase (any make) so I'd like to know what is considered normal. Thanks!
You have the right to ask for everything before the purchase that is why we need a PPI otherwise it would become meaningless; indeed I would ask the seller to fix everything reasonably for my purchase; it is up to them if they want to sell their car quick & clean. I think it is buyer's market now. Don't compromise for being regret in the future.
I've bought two cars from them and they included the belt service both times. I'd be surprised if they didn't do the same for you with the clutch.
Coming into Barrie (northbound Hwy 400) last night around 7 a white with tan roof RR Corniche Convertible and a silver F430 Spider top down. Chris
no kidding i've been working on a couple of different things with him and i'm lucky if he gets to his OWN shop by 4pm!!! but then again he works till 5-6am every morning.
Wow.......spot of the week: A red 16 M (Scuderia) convertible, parked with the top down at lunch time around Hwy7 and Weston Rd. It looks like an older gentleman took it out for lunch meeting. Thats how we roll in Woodbridge.... LOL
Thats right around the corner from FoO (as I am sure you know!). I was at the dealership a couple days ago and that Scud was parked out front, and was being shown to a potential new owner... Pfft who needs sales skills when you sell F-cars hehe.
Hey not fair. Wasnt that red 16M spot of the week already? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138643002&postcount=13432 Come back with something new!
LOL Maybe I was wrong in thinking that it was being pitched to a potential new owner! Quite possibly all the sales guys were just outside admiring it... Sure looked like a sale was taking place though lol.
This car didn't have dealer plates, and the owner (?) and some other guys were hanging around it after eating lunch at the restaurant. It definitely looked like he was the owner, there was another Mercedes and Escalade parked next to it. Does anyone know the colour of red that the 16 M uses? It looked like an orange/red colour.
I didn't look very closely at, but it caught my eye as most I've seen are not red and mostly spiders - love the combination - car stood out more than the others. Don't be afraid to ask for everything. If you have to give up something, make it the small stuff that you can do in your driveway and doesn't cost much. Good choice!
Wonder if its the same one, usually shows up after noon - mostly works on Porsches? Moves around a lot ? - used to be at a car dealer at Queensway near Islington?
Hey saw some nice cars downtown today. Sorry, wasn't able to catch the silver CGT but here are the rest... and the 2CV!
