    I was driving the 308 tonight and suddenly all of the lights got really bright. they did not stay that way for long. I am assuming the alternator is starting to go, but I want to be sure this is not a common sign of some electrical issue with the 308 that I am not aware of. this has happen once before when I was reving it out.

    1979 308 gts.

    The voltage regulator is the only thing that can do that unless of course a mother ship was hovering over you at the time.

    Change it before you get stranded somewhere.

    +1 Same thing happen to me, head lights and instrument gauges lights went really bright and the power windows was so fast I thought it was turbo charge. Change my voltage reg. and everything went back to normal.

    if the mother ship still hovering around grab one of those little green fella's to give you a hand to remove the alterator or get yourself a 3 way elbow good luck
