Today I was driving in the fast lane on I-10 heading to New Orleans. I noticed the Dodge Ram behind me quickly move to the right lane and that's when I saw the black beast quickly approaching my back bumper. I'm embarrassed to say it took me a full 3 seconds to comprehend what this creature was. Impressively I was able to contain myself and calmly moved to the right lane to watch it pass. I didn't want to wave, so instead grabbed my blackberry to take pictures while still coming to terms that this was the real deal. In 24 years I can't remember getting so giddy for something that did not belong to me. I'm only ashamed my camera is so bad - I was zooming in. It begs the question, which is more exciting: seeing an F50 on the road once in a lifetime, or waking up every day to find one in the garage? I can't wait to be able to answer. Wow that's impressive. I'd love to take an F50 on a road trip (he had Texas tags, "of course" - My Houstonian girlfriend).
I's been good to see that F50 back on the road. Very likely the highest mileage F50. After a lot of refurbishment it is sounding superb.
Cool; I had a similar experience with the same beauty and it also involved a Dodge. Several years ago my wife and I were on Clearview on the way to the movies. A blue flash passed us and as my brain registered it as a Viper coupe my eyes caught a black blur trailing the Viper, next thought...holy $#%* an F-50! I got in the left lane and gave chase for a closer look and was fortunate to see that both were headed to the movie theater. I parked near them and had a friendly chat with the drivers. This was before camera phones (at least for me) so I only have the memory of the day my wife's gold Maxima spent a couple hours with such great company.

Pumpkin orange Lambo Gallardo convertible with top down, west bound on the I-10 twin span at 7:25 PM this evening. Unfortunately I was east bound so didn't get a close look.
