    Bummer,

I would like to come meet you. If I saw this earlier I would have redoubled my efforts to race this weekend at BRP with SCCA config 1aCCW. I wimped out because it is going to be 100 degrees airtemp this weekend. What is in santa maria? karts? I did not know there was a track there.

I raced it today. Raced S3 and finished 6th. The 6 of us finished 3.5 seconds apart.

Impressive !!! S3 is a HIGHLY competitive class ... a number of world class drivers were competing.

I'm an S4-M driver ... first year in the kart running PKC (way over my head) and having fun. I did manage to sneak away with a 3rd place trophy at Grange' due to attrition ... but, attrition counts ;)

I plan to podium again in S4-M at Santa Maria .... this time with people finishing behind me :D

Come say hello, I'll be near the rear of the S4 grid with a Birel and wearing a Birel suit

Did you race this weekend? I have been running Prokart for 3 years now. Last year I was in S1 finish 3rd in championship. Maybe we know each other. S3 was very competitive, we had of course Jacob Neal show up also Tom Dyer, Tommy Thompson, Bobby Legate and the usual S3 guys show up. The racing was very close.

I didn't race this weekend. After my first two races (Willow Springs & Grange'), I realized I needed to make a few upgrades to my kart, so there went the San Diego and Buttonwillow race budget :)

I and a few other SoCal F-Chat guys bought karts last year to have some friendly dicing on open practice days. Funny thing is, I am one of the slowest but the only one who wants to formally race. I picked up a Honda motor and bolted it to my Birel and said "what the heck". I have another friend at the same experience level with an ICC who has wanted to race PCK for years, so together, we pushed each other into the deep end ... PKC.

I'm enjoying it and have learned more from my first two races than all of the last year of practicing. I'm going to race with the So-Cal Sprinters this Saturday to get a little more low-keyed (less intense, not slower) race experience. My next PKC race will be Santa Maria ... gunning for an S4-M podium :)

Jacob Neal is something ... he's a nice kid, I talk to him a lot ... he and Carlton have given great advise and help.

I look forward to meeting you

Here's a pic of me racing, Howie and I were teammates at one time..... I hooked him up with his wife. LOL! He's doing some work for me reguarding my Bizzarrini project. Can't do it all so I haven't raced since starting the car building hobby.
