This weekend it was one win and one second. That's 4 wins in 5 races this season--and I still haven't seen Casey. Pix, video and stories to follow.
Thanks, gentlemen. Mike, again, no other cars suffered damage at my hands. This, despite exceptionally close racing. Chas, we've been looking for him, but he's under that rock where everybody hides. We even have a car available for him. For now, enjoy this short clip: http://pakexp.com/?p=242
Sunday's race video is up. Apologies for the length. http://pakexp.com/?p=254 Here's a race report from a 'competitor': http://www.speedsportlife.com/2009/05/18/race-update-may-16-17-2009-we-win-one-and-lose-one-and-rent-a-battery-from-an-upside-down-porsche/
Very nice Brian! Fun watching the footage. And enough of the cracks at Racey Casey...have on good authority that he lost his F1 seat due to the economic downturn. You see, he was the prime candidate for the 3rd rumoured US entry 'Scuderia Team Chrysler Lamborghini Virginia Slims' and they were in negotiations to lease Ferrari engines.
I know, I know, I should stop. I was hearing those same rumours at the Brickyard on Thursday. When I was at the bar (drinking my Diet Pepsi), I thought I heard the locals talking about that deal. Good on him, I say. Glad you enjoyed the race. BTW, second place was eight seconds behind me at the finish.
Wet Pet, You are looking good in that beautifull car! That is a very handsome shadow of the photographer. I wonder who that was. PS. You gott watch the girls with 6 Inch stiletto heels, they hurt.
he is actually a good guy in person too. i think he is just a little naive when it comes to this crowd. hell of a nice car too. girlfriend wasn't bad either
I'll be down racing at the Mid-Ohio Vintage Grand Prix at the end of the month if anyone is around to say hi. I'm taking my '65 Corvette for its first outing. It's going to be a fun weekend. I'm just going to throw my dufflebag, tools, and guitar in the back and drive the car to the track. Unfortunatly, I won't be around the track after the races on Friday and Saturday because there is a wedding I am in. Otherwise, see you there maybe. Casey
What are your dates at Mid-ohio in July? I am thinking of either going to the Kohler Challenge at Road America again or maybe the Pittsburgh Vintage GP in July. I assume you are running in a NASA race. Do they have an open test day that weekend?
We have options for sprint races and enduros available. Yes, it will be a NASA event, as we are optimized for the NASA rules package. You know, race wins, track records and all.
So does NASA have an open test day that weekend? I'm curious what your options are and what you want to have a drive in your car. I'm assuming you are talking about the Honda Civic hatch back, yes?
There is a test day, but we don't offer it onto itself in our cars, unless taken with the enduro or Sat/Sun sprint races. As such, there is a 3-hour enduro on Friday afternoon available as one package and the Sat/Sun sprint races available as another.
