It's accessed through the front left wheel well. If memory serves, you need to remove the panel closest to the cabin, then have a look. You'll see the motor in there...

    Good luck,
    Greg

Here is mine, left wheel well acces panel removed. First you have to remove the bar that goes to the wipers, it is locked with an U shaped open ring (don't know the english name or even in dutch). Then there are 3 bolts to remove but I couldn't remove the 3rd because the lever was in the way, so you might first park your wipers in another position then rest if the motor still works.

Bert, looking at you pic, I can say that the wiper motor is exactly the same as the one on my Lancia Scorpion/Monte Carlo

Ha, I have a Montecarlo too. When one day the water drain from where the wiper motor sits was blocked, the motor was flooded and after that it doesn't park the wipers anymore which means the interval doesn't work either. I should remove it one day and clean the contacts or replace, I think the Alfasud also has the same motor and I have some of those.

Yes, they usually get rusted and break off, but if not, clean it real good and apply sealant around the top plastic cover where the contact point is located.

Thanks Bert for the great picture and the great hints on how to remove the wiper motor.
I will check to see if I am getting voltage to the motor before I pull it. It could be the wiper switch?

Can I add to this older post? I am removing the wiper motor assembly form my 80' 308 - the wiper studs will not slip down. Is the black ring just a washer or is it threaded? This trough was repainted black (should be color red as the rest of the car).....so I am not sure if the black paint is sticking up everything. Tapping with a hammer will not knock it through and a thin blade will not lift the black ring.
