Continuing to share the courage of your convictions and faith is more important than taking a "conviction" by way of a preventative-maintenance ban this hauty way.

Unfortunately, the subject which led to this chain reaction was a subject so touchy and problematic, escalatation is not only inevitable, but imminent.

I read through the thread list which made you decide to leave. Remember, there will always be those who are afraid to believe in something greater than themselves. That fear is multiplied when they realize they will be held accountable and responsible for their actions when the time comes. It frightens them even more to have "give up control" and "be told what to do". It is much easier for them to bury their heads in the sand.

I do applaud you for trying by the way. However, a faceless means of communication makes it next to impossible to get such an important idea across.

Good luck in whatever decision you make. And be proud of your "low" IQ! Most of those I've met who have "high IQs" then to have no common sense at all.

Paul, I don't know you but I find it sad that you are leaving over this. You obviously have been an active member and have enjoyed your membership here. I strongly disagree with much of what you said in the P&R thread that lead to this, but I respect your feelings and point of view. C'mon Paul, Let's forgive and move on. I wish you peace my friend.

Really, this sounds like one of those "Goodbye Cruel Internet" posts that we've all seen over and over since the days of USENET and mailing lists. Flouncing off like a junior high girl doesn't accomplish anything.

 

Well, he's entitled to his opinion, and to his departure, if he sees fit.

We've seen it before, we'll see it again. I even know a moderator who thought he'd had enough and wanted to back away.

Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your opinion, he worked through his angst and continued on here.

As to where this thread should be, it's getting moved to a non subscribed, off topic forum.
