I wake up, go for short walk...and what do I see?!.... This is the first year that I live in Monaco and the whole event is hugely exciting. I can wait for Sunday! I truly hope that the FIA controversy gets sorted. I would never go to see another F1 race without Ferrari (even if it's a few hundred meters away from home). Anyway, here are a few random pics that I took today. Nothing amazing, but I thought I might as well post them: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Nice pics, it looks like you don't even need to leave your home to watch the race then? Get any autographs?
I do need to leave home. I don't see the track from where I live. That being said, I can't complain about the view out of our apartment. Tons of people were asking for autographs/pictures already. I didn't feel like bothering them any further.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome pix - Thanks for sharing and please keep 'em coming. One of 'em certainly lays to rest my "memory" that they don't bring their hospitality palaces to Monaco...... It used to be that there was nowhere to put 'em IIRC...... Cheers, Ian PS - It appears that they have to "swipe out" as well as in to the paddock - Correct?
As I said above, very cool. Are you going to have the same access all week? If so, and you don't mind me asking, is it a "perk" of residency? Looking forward to your ongoing reports! Cheers, Ian
Correct. Unless they use the "main gate" (in that case the security guards simply open the gates for those with access. No. I have no special access. That little "walk" on the right of the of the pit-lane was only open to the public in the morning. There are no advantages for the average resident as far as I know. Nice
Friggin' brilliant! *That* breaks the whole reason the "in & out" system works. How can you swipe out if you never swiped in?..... Mad Max (the evil pygmy?) strikes again..... Thanks for the answers. That "walk" is now closed off to you? Bummer Those are some nice "close up's". Cheers, Ian

Yes, Vettel seemed to be a very nice guy. It's hard to judge someone by appearances though. Massa was also generous with the fans. He allowed pics to be taken with him, signed autographs etc. The same goes for Chris Dyer also took time talking with several fans. These are all superficial observations obviously, but most of the drivers seemed to be genuinely nice guys.
How much is this going to cost him?...... [I do hope it's not yours of course!.....] Illegal parking? Image Unavailable, Please Login
