I'll be in Miami next week (25-30may) and staying at Marriott Courtyard Miami Beach Oceanfront, Collins ave. It's an incentive I earned from a company I work for as an agent. Few days are allready planned with trip to the glades, Jetski trip with bbq. But 2 days we are free to go and get a convertible to drive around. The wife wants to shop at a big mall and outlet store (advises??) and I am looking for some Ferrari related stuff. Is there a C&C, dealer, specialist or somethingelse you can recomment? Looking forward to hear (or meet) from you. Greetz, Roel
The Aventura mall has a Ferrari store in it. It's a little small but it's better than nothing. Of course there is the Sawgrass mall. That's the giant outlet mall that every tourist sems to hit when they are in town. If your wife drags you there were comfortable shoes because you'll be walking around like it's the seventh circle of hell!
If the weather is nice I'd put the top down and head down to the Keys. You can can make it to the upper (islamorada) or middle (Marathon) in just a couple of hours. As far as the mall goes Sawgrass mills in Sunrise (about 45 min north west of Miami beach) It's the 6th largest mall in the US. Monday is a holiday here (Memorial day) so the beach will be packed. Here's a link to the Keys. http://fla-keys.com/islamorada/
check out The Collection in Coconut Grove you can see actual Scuderias, 612s, Maseratis, Astons, and more and there is a large mall a few blocks away, Merrick Park which your wife will like PM me when you are in town, I need an excuse to take the F40 out, maybe we can meet at The Collection then go get some lunch
Thanks for advices guys. We've been in Florida before so the normal tourist things like the keys, space center, Daytona and Orlando parcs we've seen allready. We're only staying 5 nights in Miami with a full program. Only 2 days "free time" we have to spent. The Seegrass Mills Mall at Sunrise is a "we have to go" according the wife so that's 1 day fully booked again. Maybe the collection is a nice idea. Altought I have seen hundreds of Ferrari's last week during our FerrariChat trip to Maranello and the Mille Miglia ( http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=243129&page=10 ) @William, a meet and greet with the F40 would be great!! I'll let you know how our plans are when I arrive in Miami.
The massive outlet mall is Sawgrass Mills, not seegrass ... http://www.simon.com/mall/default.aspx?ID=1262 She may also like Aventura Mall (the one with the Ferrari store, level 2, by Nordstrom)... http://aventuramall.com/ Bal Harbour Shops (bring money )... http://www.balharbourshops.com/ Village of Merrick Park... http://www.villageofmerrickpark.com/ The Collection and Prestige are always interesting. The Collection... http://www.thecollection.com/ Prestige/Lamborghini Miami... http://www.prestigeimports.com/
William, is it possible to pm me your cellphone number? When I know our program/scedule I can ring you. Would be great to meet you. Thanks, Roel
Goodmorning gents. Its f*****g hot and rainy here. Yesterday evening we had diner at Rusty Pelican. Today we are out for a jetski trip and bbq on a private beach. CU.
it hasn't gotten hot yet Come back in July if you want to see hot Lets try to get to the Collection on Thurs or Fi afternoon , although Thurs is probably better
That's true but we are used to northern europe temperatures We have a fully loaded program. Today had breakfast at Ocean Drive, lunch in Little Havanna (La Carreta), shopping at Maceys and tonight diner somewhere in a Brazilian Club. Thursday a roadtrip to Key West Friday the Everglades and at 5pm we have to go to MIA again. Looks like its gonna be difficult to meet eachother
It was a fully program but it was great to visit Miami. Mango's at Ocean Drive was fun and we visited another club on Collins ave. Forgot the name but was in a hotel Madonna owns for 50%. Highlight was a drive to Key West. Feels like a caribean Island, very relaxed. To bad the party is allready over and we are back in europe again. @William, sorry we missed an oppertunitiy to meet. Next time better. Let me know if you're planning to visit europe.
