Rubino has always been a whiner. What was he making at Ferrari, $18 million/yr? And numerous wins and podiums while driving for the most prestigious team in all of racing. I can see where this is probably his last chance to ever be close to the WDC, but I hope he stops whining, I'd gladly trade with him. :D

Dream on. I will bet you a steak dinner at Ruth's Chris that RB beats Vettel's arse this year. Let me know if you are a taker.

What I mean is exactly what I said. He claimed the Championship would be between Button and Vettel. By the transitive property he is implying that RB will be smoked by Vettel...if he wants to buy me a steak dinner, he can. OR he can see where we stand when the season is over and humbly state that he was incorrect :p

    I get it.
My point is that the difference is more about the cars than the drivers. I'd have to give S.V. the edge in equal equipment, wouldn't you?

The Red Bull has no double diffuser, no KERS, and no movable front wing. Imagine how good it would be if it had all the toys. Or another way to put it is that it is probable that Red Bull will see its competitiveness slide as other top teams get the toys. We already watched Massa hold off Vettel by using the KERS button in Spain. So while I think Vettel is a great talent, he doesn't yet have the consistency or equipment to challenge for the WDC in a season-long battle.

The Brawns are clearly superior to everyone at the moment and will probably amass enough points early in the season that one of them will win the championship. However, by the end of the year I would be surprised to see them dominating like they are now.

Copy, didn't pick up on your point at first. Yes, even being an RB fan I would give Vettel the edge if they were in the same cars, but where people often don't give credit to drivers is GETTING the drive. RB wasn't bringing any money, Ross chose him to be in that seat. Ferrari did when he was there too. People are always saying that RB got wins for this reason or that reason; no, he got them because he crossed the finish line first.

I don't mean to sound defensive, it just is starting to piss me off that many are labeling RB as a whiner, when if they were in his shoes they would be pissed too. I have raced a lot, and if I thought I was getting shafted I would say something too. When Eddie the Idiot Irvine would ***** and moan, everyone thought it was cool or funny. When RB does it he is a whiner? F-off. He wants to win, and after whipping Schumi's arse on a number of occassions and being told to move out of the way, if I felt in my gut that something wasn't adding up I would say something too. I think after 300 some odd races he has earned at least the right to actually say what's on his mind, or does he need to be like Ms. California and have to give the PC answer all the time?

People cry that the drivers in F1 have no personality or have all become machines, then when RB speaks up about something he is called a whiner. Whatever.

Yes a race horse has a different temperment than a work horse does.
Can't expect him to just turn off the competitive juices when he leaves the track can we?

This looks to me like a solid position for RB to be in. If it doesn't work out for him the way he wants at Brawn he can write a second book (after the one on Ferrari and Michael), and if that doesn't work he can fall back on table dancing.

I'll take that bet over a sixpack of your favourite beer. I'm not that confident Vettel will beat Rubens. I think he will, but I also realize I'm on somewhat thin ice.

BTW: I have no problem with Rubens complaining. It just won't change a thing. He is #2 and will always remain #2. At least as long as he sits in a competitive car. He'd be a star at Farce India. :)

    Cool.

I didn't care much whether Vettel or Rubens will be runner up, but now with some beer on the line, that's an added incentive to follow that duell.

Since my main attraction of a Ferrari driver going for the WDC is all but over.

I know, you're starting to look like a winner. It was a bleak picture, that Red Bull with a broken left rear. An no excuse and Rubens safe in 2nd. Arrgh.

Actually I like it this way. Underdogs winning, not the same old same old on the podium. Fine by me for a change.

It will be interesting to see how the Red Bull cars do on the faster tracks with their new diffusers.

Yeah, it is far from over, I am just giving you some grief...:p - I can't believe the Red Bull cars are all of a sudden that slow. Monaco is a unique track anyway, so Turkey will show us more...
