What was it like to drive? The 5000QV is supposedly easier to handle than the earlier LP400; but IMO the purity of the original design stands the test of time best :)

I have a real soft spot for the Countach, the 5000QV carb model was the best had around 480Bhp we put a full ANSA system on her
You where deaf after ten minutes had a dead left leg

Considering the age and lack of ergonomics great fun to drive and you could push her very hard but they quickly run out of brakes, the suspension was greatly improved over the early cars and the lower ride height and wider rubber made them better, but NO power steering
in a straight line she could stay with many younger stallions, did plently of Goodwood Supercar track days with her

Sounds like a great car experience. I have always loved the look of the classic Lambo's; but I fear they are not great to drive and an expensive nightmare to run. I remember a Top Gear episode with James May driving a later model Countach which was his boyhood dream car. He hated it for it's poor ergonomics, difficulty to drive, poor ventilation, difficulty to park and a bunch of other stuff. Worth watching if it's on Youtube.

I love the Miura SV. Had a close look at one for sale here about 5 years ago. I was a bit shocked at how rough it was and I could see a large fortune being spent in getting it right. Even after that I wonder if it would be crap to drive.
