    My parents live down there. They've had about 3 feet of rain in the past several days. Weather down there is crazy--either that, or they have severe drought and wildfires.

    yet another reason I can't stand Florida.

    isn't the Daytona airport right off the backstretch? was it closed too?

    I think the airport is above the water table, so it probably didn't flood. But it is literally across from the Speedway. Florida is one crazy state--I'm going to take heat for this, but I've always said Florida is Indiana dipped in water.

    dude, that is a PERFECT description! ha ha!

    cold and wet (and windy) or blazing hot and humid, with lots of rednecks and retirees...sounds just like Indiana!
