FBI wrecks an F50 in Lexington Ky

Name calling in this thread for instance, in posts before and after mine. Hence my comment you didn't call me a moron (00Joe did).

Not diverting anything or accusing you. Profession has no bearing on anything in here. I post like I do as I'm blowing off steam, am a smart-ass, and I'm not trying to do anything to you at all other than discuss an issue brought up very publically by you. I also am not omniscient as purported by some, and I learn stuff every day.

Mike actually saw what I didn't-Joe thought it was funny. I'll own that it was probably OTT, but my reasons stand as much as I'll post outside of a PM. If you choose to leave the link up, so be it, but I don't feel this is the place for this (didn't from beginning). I stated my reasons directly, it was not "racially charged", and tried hard not to get baited.

EDIT:The MD thing was primarily directed at 00Joe's demand that I break HIPAA for testimonials, and that implied I couldn't produce any. You did mention it in your 1st post in this subthread, and Joe then jumped on the kernel. I meant what I said about profession not mattering in here, and race, religion, or politics either. (P&R excepted). I didn't accept the "smart" comment, as someone could imply I was stating superiority much like other implications.

 

SO, we agree then? A Doctor with a drug and tax problem stole the car and left it in a warehouse where the FBI came to pick it up and deliver it to New York, but the wet road and bald tires caused it to hit a tree, but he could not call for help because his new iPhone does not come out until the 8th of the month? Close the thread, all done, nothing to see here.

I clicked on this thread thinking I was going to read some balls-to-the-wall action story about a rebellious FBI agent who ass-kicked his way into a stolen F50 just so he could feel alive again. Instead I got: **** happened to a car, people were shocked/excited/interested/whatever, then five ladies on their periods erupted in a spitting match that I think needs the attention of Super Nanny. This thread has been a major letdown.

In summation: boring story followed by entertaining drama.

Who is the real racist here? the hypocrite bashes DeTomaso cars, then has 2 he's attempting to hawk on his site. Yeah, Daddy sez "tell it like it is" wonder if he told those owners of his hatred toward DeTomaso and his cars before accepting those commissions? "What good or right" is what's good or right for Joe at that moment for him (financially).
I also love the family 1st remark. Wonder where he grafted that idea from? hmmmm He spends more time at the keyboard than Bill Gates did in the 70's-80's. The children of the clique in lambo section love him, let him stay there or better said post there exclusively. No self respecting Ferrari owner wants to be linked to him anyhow.
We're sick of him and those threads that go down in flames always have Joe as a commen denominator.

I've seen some posters here be contributers in many ways and wish they didn't bicker. They can and have done better.

I think that real info is hard to come by. I think I heard the reporter say "slick tires" but I don't recall where 40 MPH came from, and it may not be correct.

Look at Rex's post #135. In the first picture it appears that the skid started in a no passing zone. Am I seeing this right?

 

Excuse my ignorance as I have never owned one, but does a F50 have anti lock brakes? If so, I could envision an attempted pass going up a hill, realizing an approaching car, and losing it with wheel spin in an attempt to get around a car and back in the proper travel lane.

If no anti lock, I could see the same, attempting to slide in to avoid a head on under brakes.

 

I remember a certain similarly "talented" rapper banged up someone else's Enzo while shooting a movie. Certain types of people have no business driving high HP cars.

If he was a rapper he'd at least have some street cred. He was just a 2nd rate comedian, probably high on his opinion of himself, not unlike a certain poster who is front and center in this thread.

 

In the first photo there are two small marks on the double yellows seen in the lower left of the frame. There is also a faint line before the two more obvious ones crossing the yellows.

In this frightening sequence it is easy to see how a low speed accident can occur. One similarity is the left hand turn preceding the accident. So it could have been: power on, rear goes right, driver overcorrects and rear goes hard left, driver gets the power shut down and the car goes where it is pointed, off to the right.

Other similarities are nobody seriously hurt and very emberassed drivers. We can learn from these low speed accidents. My sympathy to those involved.

 

Some people are just dissapointed that they weren't selected when the casting call went out, especially those that already had business cards printed out...

Which before rebuild was that? The owner was not driving either time IIRC. Wonder what the percentage of stuffed F50's driven by owners is-bet it is far lower than Enzos.
